Dishonest contractors, Seabreeze was our assigned contractor for furnace repair through AHS and came out to assess our furnace AFTER the gas company has assessed it for possible gas leak. This contractor added multiple services to what was just a valve replacement per gas company. He submitted an invoice to AHS for additional services of "modification of turn on/off valve" and "replace a missing sediment tray". An additional ****** out of pocket for us for uncovered services. He refused to do the work to repair the furnace to working order unless the additional services were included, and *** refused to make him do so. *** stated they depended on their contractors to work ethically and could not alter a contractor's recommendation. We called in a 2nd opinion; He said there was no need to "modify the on/off valve" as it was not interfering with safe operation, additionally he told us that the "missing sediment tray" was never there. It was just another modification and had no effect on the safe operation of our furnace. SO... the 2nd contractor did the repairs and purchased parts for ******. I reported this all to AHS and they ended up paying us out for the service. In all of this Seabreeze staff got nasty and rude that we been questioned them. I do not recommend them in any case at all, very unprofessional and arrogant.
