This is a complaint against ACES 2020 LLC We reached out to ACES to learn more about their ******************** for our three-year-old son, who had recently received a diagnosis of autism. On March 7, 2023, we scheduled an initial virtual assessment with ***************************, where she suggested 20+ hours/ week of ABA. We did not accept those hours and decided to not move forward with ACES. We received an invoice from ACES totaling $800. $200 allocated for the initial assessment conducted on 3/7/2023, with $20 directly invoiced to us.Supplementary charges on 3/9/2023, 3/10/2023, 3/14/2023, and 3/21/2023, all designated as office visits, despite no such meetings ever taking place.These unwarranted charges took us completely by surprise, given that no subsequent meetings or ABA sessions occurred subsequent to the initial assessment. ACES 2020 LLC told our insurance that the additional service dates were, in fact, assessments and that the physical presence of the member (our son) was not a prerequisite for all sessions. Astonishingly, none of this information was disclosed to us during the initial assessment with ***************************, despite our explicit inquiry regarding pertinent details.This unsettling situation has left us profoundly troubled and dissatisfied with the practices of ACES 2020 LLC. We firmly believe that such actions are unethical, dishonest, and entirely unacceptable, particularly when dealing with parents who are earnestly seeking the best resources for their children with disabilities. We maintain our stance that we should only be held liable for the $20 copayment associated with the initial assessment conducted on 3/7/2023.In light of these circumstances, I am formally lodging a complaint against ACES 2020 LLC regarding these concerning billing practices.
