I bought this stockpot at the ******** Outlets. I took it home, used it ONCE to boil WATER, and then noticed a red staining all around the lid where it curls inward. I contacted Le Creusets online customer service to show pictures and ask if it was rust. They responded with a generic no returns since you used it and made no mention of the rust. I responded asking for clarification, and again they ignored the rust comment and sent another generic message saying they would allow a one time refund but I would have to cover shipping costs. I called the ************, ** Le Creuset (theyre closest to me) and the store manager saw the pictures, agreed it was like rust and said she would allow a refund. We drove ALL THE WAY to ******** and tried to return it, and the employee refused even with written exception from the store manager because it wasnt the ******** store manager even though thats where we bought it from. I am at a loss for words with this reputable company, there are absolutely no signs of wear and tear on it because again, I only used it ONCE for WATER, its an absurd return policy and they must know they sell terrible quality products because they wont allow returns once used. How else are we supposed to know if it works well or not?! The customer service agent tried blaming ME for misuse, as if boiling water is misusing it. I am absolutely okay with returning this product, I have no desire to keep it, but they should send a prepaid label and not deduct it from the total refund amount. Clearly, judging by the other reviews about this store, it is a common issue and their values and policies are in dire need of reevaluation. I just want my money back, I absolutely do NOT want to keep a brand new already rust stained pot. I have not used it for anything else since boiling some water. Since they havent given me a non-robotic answer from the corporate customer service and the ************************* employees are no help, I have to go to the BBB for a solution.
