      $3,100 was paid as a security deposit on 11/1/22. I was told that upon moving out I just needed to patch any holes larger than a dime and if the walls were not painted I could leave them. Air circulation was so poor in the building, black rings were around curtains and paintings in home. Leasing agent accused me of burning candles, which I didnt. Company charged me $993.33 to repaint apartment upon move out. Unsafe, unhealthy living conditions. Constant construction on property. Poor management that caused distress.

      I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with the return of your security deposit upon move-out. Please note, we are agents for the Owner and all charges were discussed and confirmed by the Owner. Similar condition of the walls was not present in any other apartment at the building, but we did have the appliances and heater inspected in your apartment just to be sure it wasn't caused by faulty appliances, even though all units were completely renovated recently. Furthermore, the charges against your security deposit do not go to Golden Key Properties, they are credited to the Owner's account to offset the turnover expenses, so requesting a refund from Golden Key Properties is a misguided effort. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience but we have a fiduciary duty to our clients to protect their assets.

      As tenants of the ******************************** (managed by Golden Key Properties). Moved in on August 13, 2021. Within 11 days upon moving in (August 24, 2021) plumbing in the entire house was backed up which caused flooding both bathrooms due a crack in the main sewer line from a tree branch in the front lawn. I worked patiently with the GoldenKey. to get this issued fixed. Then, on September 2, 2021, were experiencing the same issue again with the main sewer line / plumbing. Now, on November 10, 2021, the carpet in the master closet, master vanity, and the adjacent bedroom from the master bedroom was showing signs of water damage. Again, I will work patiently with the Golden Key. to get this issued fixed. During our time living at 365 Apollo Dive, we have had to shut the main water line off multiple times because of failing plumbing issues. Currently, due to the failing plumbing, there is now an unbearable odor coming from the master bathroom vanity that it now traveling out to the front of the house and into our personal belongings. For example, all my bathroom items and make-up now have this strong unbearable odor. On November 11, 2021, ****, from Golden *********************** showed up to check out the damage. **** said herself, she can smell a distinct strong odor coming from the master bathroom. Last week, on November 12, 2021, the flood team removed the carpet in the bedroom adject to the master bedroom and knocked down drywall all the way down the frame not only in the master bathroom, master closet, but in the adjacent bedroom where I can no longer create a nursey for our soon-to-arrive baby. The Flood team has also installed dehumidifiers, which is pulling power from the home, and cause our electricity power to spike up. I've email Golden Key about a reimbursement, they have yet to provide me with a hard number for on utilities due to the these on-going issues or give me a date of when they till reimburse me.

      reimbursement for the water utility has yet to be resolved along with credit/compensation for lost of square footage and continuous inconvenience we've endured while being in the home for December.

      With all due respect, any compensation/credit issued is strictly at the direction of the property owner, it is not Golden Key's decision. Attacking Golden Key's business reputation should not be used for means of extortion. We issue credits promptly as soon as the property owner authorizes it. Please remember, we are an agent for the owner. We do not own the property in question and could not have foreseen the maintenance issues in advance. Golden Key and our hired vendors have acted promptly within our capacity during each occurence.

      Quiet interesting a reimbursement check has been issued from the property management company AFTER I sent my letter to BBB about the utility issues. VID (water ****) reimbursement has been resolved - thank you. SDG&E is still in the works.
