I purchased two kids skateboards from Magneto Sports LLC in November 2023 for $40 each. When my children started riding the boards in January **** it was obvious that one was clearly defective. The skateboaring instructor let me know that the board was poorly manufactured which resulted in the board turning significantly and being unsafe for my son to ride. I contacted the company to let them know. This was all via email to contact them as there was no contact number for them anywhere on the website. I received a response asking for pictures to which I sent them one with a level clearly indicating that the trucks were not aligned with the board. They responded saying they would ship me out another board. I said I did not want a board because I was not happy with the quality of either board, but asked if a refund was possible. I got a response saying to ship the board back and they would then issue a refund minus the cost of shipping and any restocking fee after the board was assessed. At that point I got concerned because this company was indicating they were going to resell a defective board. I was worried I was sold a board for my six year old that they knew was defective. I didn't feel comfortable being complicit and sending back a skateboard they intended to resell. When I asked to speak with someone else on the phone about it, I just continued to receive automated emails. I have not gotten any resolution to this matter and I have grave concerns that this company is knowingly selling unsafe products to children.
