In August 2020, my then 14-year old daughter needed to have her wisdom teeth removed. We consulted with two different oral surgeons. ********** was the second one. She met with us over Zoom and we were not told in advance of any consultation fees, and did not sign any paperwork agreeing to pay any fees. After not selecting her, we received a bill for her consultation fee of $230, which we refuse to pay. Had we known the fee was so high we would not have had the consultation. Other surgeons in the area are charging much less (the one we chose charged $75 which was applied towards the surgery). ************** office continues to harass us three years later about this "past due" fee and has now informed us that they will be sending it to collections. We do not want to be harassed by a collections agency over this fee that we have no intention of paying.Please note that we have filed a complaint with the ****************** against ************** office. She can make this much easier for everybody if she simply acknowledges that she was in the wrong by not being transparent about her fees and lets it go.
