    On 5/3/24, I checked our ****** membership for auto repair discounts and found a 15% off coupon for Norm Reeves ************************** so I called them and told them I needed the brakes done for a 2001 **** F150. The receptionist quoted me $320 for the front brakes and $320 for the rear brakes. She also stated that if we needed any other work done, we would have to bring the truck in to get an estimate.We had the truck towed to their shop and the service manager, ***************************, called us with a much higher quote of $4,000.00. When we asked why it was so high, we were told that in addition to the brakes, there were several other things wrong with the truck that needed to be repaired and/or replaced. When we asked him if he could just take care of the brakes, he quoted us $1,400, unlike the $640 that the receptionist had told us. When we told him about the quote from the receptionist, he became belligerent and argumentative, stating that the receptionist doesnt have any information regarding prices.On May 9, we decided to have the truck towed to a different mechanic. When our tow truck driver arrived at norm reeves, **************** told the driver that he couldnt pick up the truck as it was in pieces. We called **************** and were told that they couldnt put the truck back together without doing the repairs. We told him that we will have to take legal action. We then received a text from **************** stating that the truck was ready to be picked up but that we owed $205 for the diagnostic fee and stating that we had approved that fee. We never approved any fee and we told **************** that. He then waived the fee and we had the truck towed to a different mechanic. I finally got the truck fixed by a different mechanic and paid $2,400. The original quote I had received (from ***** Auto Repair) was for $1,479. Therefore, it appears that **** Reeves damaged the vehicle to the extent that an additional $921 in repairs were necessary.

    The **************** us substandard, I bought this car in 2018, I had not put ****** miles on it when I took it in. They put 197 miles on my car in a five day period, drove out a full tank of gas (*****) and returned my car to me on empty. I took it in because it would not pass the smog test and I couldn't renew my tags. It took them five days to figure out that the onboard computer had failed and needed to be replaced. The part is on back order since 01-30-2023. The part still has not arrived and is scheduled to arrive 04-17-2023. This is the third time the arrival date has been pushed back. ( 03-06-23, and 04-06-23) .This does not appear to be the same dealership that it was in 2018. The customer service manager is the only person looking out for the customers.

    Regarding your review, we would love to fill your car up with gas as we should have done in the first place after driving it 197 miles.  When a vehicle will not pass smog, often it is because the vehicle has monitors that need to be cleared.  To clear monitors on vehicles there is a certain sequence of driving conditions that must be met while driving the vehicle on the road.  When we are driving the vehicle on the road there are variables like traffic that we encounter, this sometimes makes the technician start the sequence back from step one.  This is why there are sometimes a lot of miles put on a vehicle when troubleshooting for not passing smog.


    Since the pandemic the industry has been suffering from many parts delays due to manufacturing supply.  We do everything we can to acquire parts as soon as possible.  If you could reach us so we can identify you and your vehicle in our database, we can take another look into the parts situation to see if there is anything else that could be done.
