I had signed a contract with SCCCI to build a patio cover in January 2020. It was guaranteed to be built by the end of April that year. They have already collected $18,073 of my money on a $34,773 build. Date today is December 12, 2022 - nearly 3 years later - and they have not obtained a permit to start construction. In the contract, it says we are entitled to a "Buyers Protection Plan." They said that means they will pay us $50.00 per week, every week, if the job is not completed by their date: 4/29/20 (136 weeks*$50 = $6800). I have not seen any compensation from the "Protection Plan," nor have they provided any new dates of completion. I have tried resolving this amicably over the years and feel powerless. They will not return my calls and I am finally to the point I need help.Initial Complaint

We signed a contract with SCCCI on 6/14/2022 to install LVF in the kitchen, dining room and both bathrooms. We also wanted to convert the master bathroom tub and shower stall to walk-in curb less shower, install vanity and linen closet. The flooring in the kitchen, dining room and front bathroom was to be installed before work began in the master bathroom. The flooring has been installed however there are several issues with the installation and finish. There are cracked boards, separating boards, scarred boards, the floor gives when walked on, old vinyl flooring shows through, big cuts around the feet of the newly installed vanity, incomplete baseboards and quarter rounds and more. I paid $20,985 as agreed expecting to have experienced tradesman. I've contacted SCCCI with my concerns and they sent out a team of 3 to look at the installation on 7/6. They agreed the was not up to their standards and advised they would let us know what the next steps would be. On 7/8 I texted ***** the production manager and I was advised they are addressing the issues and to follow up with the office. On 7/12 I texted***** and told him I was unhappy with the lack of communication and asked what the plan was to fix the flooring. I was told********* and several members of that team were out sick. I sent***** more pictures of the issues. The last correspondence I received was on 7/22 advising*****s ideal plan was to rectify the mistakes without having to redo the entire floor. I have not heard from anyone since.
