They had a rep come knocking on my door and I was misled into thinking that they worked with LADWP and finding solutions for high electricity bills.Past forward 3 months later and my project is still not complete. They don't answer their phone or emails and I found out my lender has fully funded them without my consent per their agreement so now my payments are going to start and project is not even complete yet.

On 2/18/2017 Southwest Solar installed 6 large solar panels, inverter, and recalled switch box from ******************.I paid $1000 down and then secured loan for $ ****** From EECU and paid off within year of 2018. There is a 25 year warranty on panels and 10 year on Inverter. I was told the switch was on recall and I would get replacement but I never did. I dont know who was to be monitoring the system but even PGE failed there. Making compliant about them tomorrow. In conclusion, when Southwest Solar installers left they neglected to turn on inverter. I also do not know the manufacture of panels. For 1 year PGE failed to tell me the inverter was not on.

in 2017 South West Solar installed solar panels on my home. My husband and I specified we wanted a monitoring system. We were charged for one but it was not put on, as a South West Solar technician recently verified. I have as consistently as possible tried to contact the company to resolve this issue. I have been hung up on and ignored. I was told by*************** that *********** was looking into the monitoring system on March 28. I have not heard anything from the company since. I sent a follow up email on April 18 and have not received a response. My homes system has not been producing so every year I receive a Tru Up bill thru my energy company, ****. I have attached the original contract, only 2 of my last Tru Up Bills but I am requesting all Tru Up charges since 2018. I can provide those when requested.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/23) */ We are currently trying to source a monitor for the client. Due to Covid and the aftermath of the Pandemic there has been severe shortages in manufacturing. As soon as one has been found we will be happy to send out the information to her . Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) In the email that was sent to me, the company noted that my system is older and they may have trouble finding the correct monitor. I am concerned that this will be drawn out even longer. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/06/02) */ After further review with the client and a full audit of her utility bill which details her credits received from the utility and her usage, the customer has shown an increase in usage of over 2200 Kwh, which is causing her higher bills. She has acknowledged via email that the increase in usage would require her to have a larger system. We are still actively trying to find a monitor for her system and will keep in contact with her throughout the search. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/06/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) did not acknowledge an increased usage of power. I was informed that my system only is able to produce a certain amount and my household uses more than it produces. I did not know my system had limits. I do not see those numbers in my paperwork. Of course the monitoring system that I paid for but did not receive would have helped me to monitor the systems production and my homes usage. I was informed that I would need approximately 5 to 6 more panels to produce adequate energy. However issues arise because this company no longer installs in my area.
