Brendan Vacations scheduled a self-driving trip for us in ******** and Ireland. Their first itinerary was poorly crafted and required us to make some changes. We provided a list of attractions and they included a hotel in a city with no attractions and only one night in a city with many attractions. They also scheduled a tour requiring us to report at 7:45 am. while reserving a hotel for the preceding night that is at least 3 hours away. They also recommended another tour package requiring us to stay another night. We did ****** searches to estimate the cost of these changes. Our estimate was $1,050 and they charged $3,392. Based on time constraints, we accepted the itinerary and reserved the right to appeal the cost. Two days later, they told us the flights had doubled. We called Priceline and they were able to closely match the Brendan flight itinerary. There cost was less than the original Brendan itinerary cost. Therefore, we removed the flights from the Brendan itinerary. We filed a request to refund $2,335 arguing that, but for their negligence in preparing the first itinerary, we couldve locked in on the first itinerary. They quickly declined our appeal, but didnt even call us to discuss the case. Instead, they called the independent travel agent who gave us the news. We also received no apology or any acknowledgement of their unprofessional actions. In retrospect, it seems our experience had elements of a bait and switch. The first itinerary was fairly priced and shouldve had their profit built in. When changes are made, even though they were the result of their unprofessional work, the cost goes up well above the advertised prices for the listed hotels and attractions. Likewise, it is curious that their airfare doubles while the market price (as found on Priceline) did not double and was below their original amount.Initial Complaint

We booked a trip with Brendan Travel just before Covid hit. We understand that they had to cancel the trip but they refused to refund our money ($6,318.00). Instead they gave us a "travel credit" but we have not been able to use it. Now we are trying to re-book our trip to Europe before it "expires" on Dec. 31, 2022. Brendan is upping the prices by astronomical amounts, much more than inflation allows. Our trip no longer includes airfare and will cost $1500 more dollars. Now we have no recourse and they will price ***** us. This company reneged on the contract and will not refund our money. We even lost the money we paid for ********************. It was no help at all. We are asking them to re-book our trip with airfare for the $6318 or refund our money.Initial Complaint

We booked a tour in February 2020 for a trip for me and my wife to *******. We booked thru *** and are seniors. Due to Covid-19, we were unable to go to ******* for the last 2 years. Two years later my wife's health condition makes it impossible to go. We have reached out to Brandan tours with no success for the return of our deposit. They have poor customer service and ignore valid consumer complaints.
