On 07-31-2023, my wife and I received and invitation via US mail from Colorado River Adventures (CRA) to visit their Cherry Valley Lakes RV Resort location. The letter from CRA stated no purchase was necessary and the fun would not end with our stay at their RV resort. The letter also stated that for this first reservation only, we would receive an Android tablet and a $200 gas rebate certificate, and there was "no obligation" to receive the gifts. We accepted their free offer and visited their resort on August *****, 2023. Upon our arrival to the resort, we were scheduled to attend a 2-hour presentation regarding CRA. At the end of their presentation we respectfully declined to purchase their membership. When they asked why we did not want to become members, we informed them we were members of Vista Resort already, and we would consider becoming members of CRA upon the expiration of our membership with Vista Resorts. At no time did CRA or Cherry Valley Lakes Resort ask my wife and I if we had a membership with any other RV Resort prior to our first time visit at Cherry Lakes Resort, nor did our sales representative ask during our 2-hour presentation if we were members of any other RV Resort. Because we declined to sign a membership with CRA, they have banned us from visiting any other CRA affiliated RV Park for 2-years. In June 2024, my wife and I made reservation to stay at ************** Ranch RV Resort using are Resort ******************* (RPI) membership. We received a confirmation number (*******) from RPI to stay at ************** Ranch June *****, 2024, Upon our arrival at ************** Ranch, we were informed our reservation had been canceled by CRA due to a trial membership with CRA. We should have the right access CRA affiliated RV parks using our RPI membership, and should not be penalized by CRA for declining to join CRA. We never signed any contract with CRA, nor do we have a trial membership with CRA, if we did why would they cancel on us.
