I had to move to move in with my parents in ************ because I had to stop working due to my health. Due to me having to move from ***********************************************************************, I had ******************************** help me to rent out this place. My carpet was protected but there were places that urine got into the carpet from the dogs. I had my carpet cleaned 2 times per year. When the property became empty the property management noticed a urine smell. The property mgt suggested that I get an estimate from their vendor who they used which was Elite Carpet Cleaning. The appt was set in early May with the owner *****. It was odd when we met because I recognized him from my job at the car dealership. ***** went through the house with some kind of infared light and highlighted the urine areas. After looking at the stairs, hallway, and bedrooms ***** said he'd seen worse including f**** He also said he would have no problem getting the smell out and cleaning the carpet. The chemicals or products were described as being enzymes and a bomb which is said to get dandriff out of the walls. There were other chemicals used as well that I never heard of before. I was assured by ***** that the job would be 100% complete, I would have no issues and the smell would be gone. ***** said the normal price for this work was $1450 and then he said he'll make an exception for me and he charged me $800. ***** said the chemicals would go all the way down to the sub floor and it would get the job done. The job was set for 2 weeks out, 4 days later ***** came in and threw some enzymes down and then he asked me if I smelled a difference which I told him that did not. ***** performed the service for 2 hours & said he'd give me a receipt for $800 Cash, I complied. 2days after the service was provided the prop mgt said it smelled just as strong as before. I asked ***** for a refund he refused, the propt mgt asked ***** for a ************ refused. I had to replace the carpet in the end. -BBB rep
