Contracted to replace flooring with *********************, still not completed after 4 1/2 months. Also he was supposed to make a new pantry and linen closet with same materials used in kitchen. Other projects not started was to replace fireplace mantle, build 2 new vanities for both upstairs bathrooms to match kitchen and to match granite material for sinks, make a custom built in entertainment center, replace door from garage to back yard and install new molding throughout the house.Customer response

Complaint against ************************* Bluehills Custom Cabinets ************
We contracted with Lowes via Granite Transformations owned by ********************* ************ and they refaced our kitchen and downstairs bath and replaced the countertops with granite. ************************* was the subcontractor doing the reface for us. We asked about other projects we wanted done and **** recommended ******. We signed a contract with ****** and so far not one item has been completed. I am still working with **** to complete the kitchen and bath project months later. I am missing some crown molding, side molding, base molding and a door pull. **** keeps telling ****** to finish the work and it never gets done.
************************* started replacing our floors with vinyl plank flooring with we supplied materials for and also replaced the base molding. He still has not completed the flooring, a few stairs are not glued/nailed down, did not caulk stairs as he said he would, transitions at front door and upstairs front bedroom closet are missing. Transitions for door into garage and sliding glass door have gaps and look like an amateur did the job. He started great and for some reason he changed and did very shoddy work.
He was supposed to build a new cabinet for the kitchen with same material used in the kitchen. He built the cabinet but has not refaced and has not added a drawer, doors and trim as contracted. Cabinet is not usable and is unsightly and if he does not finish per contract we will have to remove it. I want my money back or have him complete the work. He was also supposed to make a cutout on the back because he is blocking an electrical outlet and phone jack.
We also wanted to replace a short linen closet at the top of the stairs with a floor to ceiling linen cabinet with same materials used in the kitchen. ****** made a rough cabinet but has not refaced the cabinet or added trim and doors per the contract. Cabinet is not usable and is unsightly.
We also asked him to replace the vanities in both upstairs bathrooms using the same material in the kitchen including new granite countertop and sinks. He has not started this job at all, and I have no faith that he will live up to his word.
We also asked to update our fireplace mantel which he has taken no action on as of yet.
We also asked him to replace the door leading from the garage to the back yard and he has ignored this so far.
We have paid him a $7200 deposit and a $3600 progress payment as well as a payment of $890 for materials which he did not provide receipts. ****** bought materials like boards to raise the stove but never completed the work and I no longer have faith that his numbers are correct. I would still owe $3600 if he completes his work.
We also contracted for him to build a built in entertainment center for $6300. We paid an initial deposit of $3150 and advance him an additional $1000 for materials so I still owe $2150 if he actually delivers the entertainment center. I have been trying to get a picture or any proof that he is actually building the unit at all.
****** has used every excuse to delay actually doing any work. He has been sick multiple times, his wife is sick, his daughter is in the hospital, his truck broke down a couple times, rain and weather issues. I have been very patient and have tried to help him but he has taken advantage of my good will and seems to have left us holding the bag. ****** will not return phone calls, texts or emails. We want to move on and get someone to finish the work and just want our money back at this time. He owes us $6800. at this point.
