I signed up for flight training at this school because the instructor they gave me was available to fly on the days I needed. My work schedule only allowed me certain days off which I used to take lessons. Once I put money on the account and started my lessons the instructor changed the schedule and would not fly with me on the agreed upon days. I found I didnt like the teaching methods at this school as well. They kept adding unnecessary training to increase the cost for their benefit. I decided to change schools but they will not reimburse me the current balance in the account. The ********************** broke the agreed contract we had and they need to return the money that is left in the account.Business response

Good afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to read this response to your concern. As you are fully aware, Dubois Aviation allows students to put a Block on their account in order to receive a discount to help lower the cost of training. You took advantage of this discount by putting a block on your account a total of 3 times from your first day of enrollment which was 9/4/2023 through your last day which was 1/8/2024. You signed and initialled your first ****** you understood and agreed with our policy as seen in the enrollment documents I have provided from said student, ****** file. DuBois Aviation has and will always be up front that Block Payments are Non-Refundable due to costs we endure to provide that service to you. As far as the instructor having Friday and Saturday off, that was never the case until 6 weeks ago, and you have never stated it was a problem, as I researched into your reservations and it shows you have come Mondays as well as Sundays multiple times. We would have needed to know you were displeased in order to help with a solution. We have many instructors that work Friday and Saturday that could have been substituted or even changed to if your desire was to fly those 2 days. Lastly, on a recorded line that the students father agreed to speak on after being notified of the recording, he threatened to call the credit card company to claim unauthorized use. Keep in mind that is illegal as we have signatures that prove the payment was authorized as well as agreed upon in your enrollment package. I am truly sorry that we couldn't come to an agreement, but slandering our name with untruths will not be tolerated. We are and always will remain focused on training the best pilots the industry needs.
