I hired Kerry ******************** for a bankruptcy case I want to file. We meet in February and Mr. ******************** said I have a case. To move forward I needed to pay $2300 upfront. I wrote a check and that check has been cashed since February. I have been trying to meet with Mr. ******************** to go over my documents. I been texting his personal cell phone and once in awhile he will respond saying he was sick or his wife was sick. I have been calling and texting Mr. ******************** everyday since March. I have logs of all my attempts to contact Mr. ********************. I need my money back so I can move on and get my case done.Initial Complaint

We hired Mr ******************** as a bankruptcy lawyer. Through the bankruptcy process, Mr ******************** was paid in full for the entire bankruptcy process. Now that our bankruptcy is almost complete, we were recently contacted by the trustee that we needed to contact our lawyer, verify eligibility for discharge and our lawyer Mr ******************** needed to prepare a notice for request of discharge. Through the ********************* we have proof that we paid in advance for Mr ******************** to complete our bankruptcy with this final letter to request a discharge. Our BKNO: is 18-05470-MM13. We have tried to call Mr. ********************, emailed Mr. ******************** and have gotten no response back. Today 09/13/2023, I went to Mr. ********************s office to find it was gone. I did locate Mr. ********************, who now has a small office that he leases. He no longer has a secretary and I could not leave documentation for him as front desk service was for a variety of several offices. Mr. ******************** ESQ #****** is still assigned to us per our trustee whom we will be notifying about this. Mr ******************** needs to review our case, and if its paid off send a letter of discharge to our trustee. While this concerns a business, this complaint is not in reference to the legal side of this issue, but the business side. This is all shifty/shady at best, that we should have to do all this to get the service upon which we paid for.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
