Hello,I received a service and paid onsite in May 2022. In late May 2023 I began getting collection calls stating that I owed $321 for Eastlake Modern Dentistry. I called the office and they said that insurance had declined part of their services but would not tell me for what and would not provide me the billing breakdown. They told me that they had performed upgraded services which were not covered. I had never agreed to any upgrades. Some of the bills show upgrades while others do not in reference to the same services on different dates. The office manager would not call me back to talk to me. I ended up paying the full amount due online, but the total was listed as $211, stating that I had a $110 insurance credit from another bill on a different date. I am now continuously receiving collection calls and letters from a collection agency stating that I owe $110 directly to the Company, but on my patient portal it shows a $0 balance. This feels like there is some kind of insurance fraud going on and the collection calls and threats to report my debt to the credit bureaus are causing me extreme distress as I am attempting to purchase a home right now. At the very least there is extreme billing negligence occuring. I need them to act responsibly and update the billing to reflect my $0 balance so I stop receiving harassing collection contact. I would like them to refund the $123 upgrades that I did not approve as well. They do not make any invoices available to their patients after payment and they do not include billing information and treatment information on their invoice statements.
