They put 2 crowns in my daughters mouth 1 1/2 years ago. We went to a different dentist for a checkup and were informed about the poor workmanship. Sonrisa stopped taking out dental insurance so we werent able to continue getting checkups and cleaning there. On 1/7/22 the new dentist told us the margins of both teeth were exposed and the crowns need replacing. Then they showed me that one of the crowns wasnt cemented in anymore and to be careful that she doesnt swallow it because it was extremely loose. They told me I needed to return to the original dentist for re-cementing. I called Sonrisa Dental 6 times and left messages and received no call back. I finally called again the week of January 20th and reached a representative. We made an appointment for 2/10/22. On that day the dentist told me that he will not cement the crown in because the defective poor workmanship of the previous dentist (that is not longer employed at Sonrisa dental). The office manager told me that since it had been over a year I would have to replace the crowns out of pocket and pay for them. The office manager told me crowns should last at least 5 years when I got them done. Now they will not permanently cement the crown because of the horrible work of their dentist. Due to the pandemic they closed their Chula Vista office for almost a year and stopped taking my insurance. I paid the extra hundreds of dollars for these crowns past what my insurance covered for higher quality. I want them to pay for the proper prep work and replacement of the crowns with the same quality crown that was put in the first time.Business response

Good afternoon,Patient ***** came in for tooth #** crown preparation on 12/02/2020, after that patient came in on 12/23/2020 for cementation of the crown. Patient was not satisfied with the shade and the crown was sent off to change the shade. Patient was not able to come in until 2/01/21 which was when crown #** was cemented, the patient left happy with no concerns. On 11/01/2021 patient had called stating the crown fell off and stated she went to another provider to get it checked out. Patient was seen on 11/03/2021 for recementation on crown #**, doctors notes stated he had cleaned out the crown and removed old cement, placed the crown with new cement. Patient came in with mother on 02/10/2022 and the parent came in with a high volume voice referring to all staff and with patients in the office, she was kindly walked towards a room to be able to go through all her concerns. The Parent at this time were very upset and unwilling to cooperate.--Thank you,*****************************
