      Yes, on May 31 2024 PageTurner was doing marketing work for me i was told to help expand my brand a ad in Publishers Weekly would benefit me. I did finally agree after a few phone calls over a couple of months imagine my surprise when my ad they said was displayed in the June 10,2024 paper.After making some phone calls and making sure of the cost of my ad a quarter page ad total cost $425.00 dollars needless to say even allowing for a profit to PageTurner even double the cost that still looks like almost $4,000 dollars over charged.I would hope to settle this amicably if you could be of service i would greatly appreciate it.They are no longer taking my calls or answering my email requests.I also have book contract through them hopefully that is fulfilled shortly,Thank you for your time *********************

      Page Turner Press and Media contacted my uncle, Reverend ****** *********************** to republish his book (************************************** 1917-1995: **************** Nigerian Vanguard of Catholicism).Page Turner Press and Media claims they are working with a bookstore company named Waterstones Bookstore to publish his book. Till date, Page Turner has received $55,500 from him and still asking for more money, but no indication as to when he will start receiving his royalty payments. A ******************************* of Page Turner and a ************************* of Waterstones have been the main contacts.Date of Transaction: From 12/20/2023 -What the Business committed to provide you: To pay royalties of $750,000 from chain of Bookshops of Waterstones Bookshop, using the Distribution Chain Manager, a *************************. Page Turner has refused to pay the $750,000 (which they eventually reduced to $735,000) plus the total Expenditure. We reached out directly to Waterstones Bookstores, Waterstones confirmed there is NO contract nor arrangement between Waterstones and Page Turner Press and Media in regards to a 2023 republishing of (************************************** 1917-1995: **************** Nigerian Vanguard of Catholicism) by a **************************. In addition, Waterstones Bookstores stated that any communication from a *************************, purporting to represent Waterstones Bookstores in a contract agreement with a ************************** is a scam communication. After hearing from Waterstones, we did some research and noted that ***************** issued a Publishing Scam Alert on September 22, 2023, to inform authors that Page Turner Press and Media is known for scamming authors.The amount of money you paid the business: $55,500 Desired Settlement: PAYMENT OF THE AGREED ROYALTIES OF $735,000 Plus the money spent $55,500 In addition, their business should be permanently closed so that they do not operate in the same manner again and their officers handed over to the Police.

      I have informed Page Turner to communicate with me directly via e-mail. My email address, which they already have, is ***********************.

      The only resolution, as previously stated, is a refund of $55,500. They have my bank account details to send a wire transfer. Once the money is in my account, then this issue would be resolved.

      Page Turner should email me when the wire transfer is done. If they have any question for me, they should email me and cc BBB. I am more than willing to communicate with Page Turner, but via email only.

      I paid ****** to pageturner to publish my book. They were very slow but eventually got it done. It was posted on Amazon, ****** and ***** website as well as pageturner website. The problem now is that about 6 weeks ago they removed my book from Amazon. The paperback version as well as the Kindle one. I spoke with someone in author support. She said that their printer was down and they were working on fixing it. I talked once more with someone in author support. She said that the problem was resolved and I should see my book back on Amazon within 5 to 10 business days. Now it has been 4 weeks and nothing resolved. Now I cannot get a hold of anyone on the phone. I have left many messages but they do not return my calls. I am so frustrated with this company! I just want them to post and print my book again!! The book title is: the Impossible overcoming unthinkable abuse by *********************. I believe this company is a scam and needs to be stopped.

      This company contacts me multiple times a month. In the last 2 days I have received 3 messages telling me to return their call because of an urgent manner. They have used multiple tactics to try to get me to call to discuss one of my published books.I have no desire to work with this company. I have emailed them in the past to tell them to stop calling me, and have called them once before as well. I receive an average of 3 calls per month from them, all of which I ignore. Now I have 3 in one day.I am prepared to pursue legal action against them now unless this stops and they stop calling me. This is now harassment.I have never indicated that I have any interest in working with them, nor would I ever even consider it. I just want them to stop calling/emailing and to never call or email me again.

      I was contacted by ************************* on February 2023 and he said my book "Jugando a Vivir" was shortlisted for acquisition. He said it'd be better if I did the translation of the book, so I ended up submitting the manuscript for my book called "A Game Called Life". I was told my book had a good chance to be acquired by a traditional company. In order to do that, I had to show "good sales" to the company, so the plan was to offer the book in book fairs and make solid sales so the traditional publisher would be interested. I paid $2489 USD for a 36 month Book returns insurance with publishing ***** that was needed to do everything. ****** sent me several reports with the resales of the book on the different book fairs. On July 2023 I received an email supposedly form ********* and they were asking I had to pay for a TV interview, I needed the insurance (I had already paid) and a book review from a professional (everything I had to pay for it). I called out Page Turner Press and Media because that email was fake. After that I stopped having communication with ******. He stopped answering email and his phone is disconnected. I received a copy of my printed book, however, that is not what I was promised. A person in the company told me that ***** doesn't work for them anymore and they were going to assign another agent on March 5th 2024. To this day, I have no other agent assigned, and they are no longer replying to any of my emails.

      Before submitting my complaint to the BBB I sent several emails to the ************************* At first they replied saying someone would contact me, but when I asked the timeframe this was going to happen, they said they didn't know and we had to respect the other departments timing. After that, I asked a couple of times and no reply. And now you're saying it is a miscommunication? and someone will contact me? I don't think so. It's been 4 months already since the last time I tried to speak with my agent and at least one month since I was promised other agent was going to call me. I don't believe any promises made are going to be fulfilled. So, I'm not closing this complaint until I see real actions and results.

      It's been a month since I filled this complaint and I have not seen anything done. I haven't received a single phone call, text or email. That tells me these are just words to fulfill the BBB requests, but no effort is really being done.

      ************************* originally inititated contact with me in July of 2023 when I was asked to pay $898 to get updated numbers for my book so they could publish it. They never published it, to my knowledge. Instead they/he "*************************" requested additional funds be wired in late November of 2023 and December of 2023 to him. This was to pay "costs" for the acquisition of my book by ********** Publishers of New York. Of course the offer was bogus and despite my attempts to contact *************************, I've gotten no response. I never received anything promised for this outlay of money, Further, the first $898 paid was in July of 2023 and it was to "update liscenses and registration" so Pageturner could represent me. I now suspect they have used that to get new (ISBN and ******************* )numbers for my book, Against Their Will (paperback and hardcover). When I realized I was not getting anything for my money, I notified them in writing that I wanted a refund of all money and they had no rights whatsoever to any of my written works. The "agent" ************************* (which I believe is a name used by a number of scammers) never followed through after promising I would get my money back. Nor has he responsed to any messages or phone calls. I now suspect he has fradulently claimed ownership of my written work, which I had stated in an earlier email, he no longer had any right to anything I have written. Again, no repsonse. In all, this company is a haven for scam artists and I'm sorry I got sucked into it. I pray no other authors for for their lies!!! Run, don't walk away from this company and anyone claiming to work for them!!!

      Dear BBB,

      We appreciate the opportunity to address ****************************** concerns.
      Firstly, we refer to the service agreement she enclosed with her correspondence. Section 13.3 of the agreement, to which ************************** affixed her signature, absolves PageTurner Press and Media of any obligation to refund the author should more than 90 days elapse following the full execution of the agreement. Given that the agreement was executed in July 2023, this timeframe has elapsed. Therefore, we are currently unable to accommodate ****************************** refund request for her publishing package.
      Secondly, we wish to clarify that the delay in publishing ****************************** work stemmed from the absence of a manuscript. While she approved a cover design for her publication on August 15, 2023, she indicated that only two-thirds of the manuscript had been completed. Subsequent updates were not forthcoming until ************************** communicated, via email, on February 29, 2024, expressing her desire to terminate her publication agreement. As such, in the absence of her manuscript, PageTurner Press and Media has not published her work and refutes any allegations of unauthorized use of copyrighted material.
      Thirdly, in reference to other services that she has stated, we assure ************************** that the agent in question will be subject to review, and her account will be thoroughly examined.
      We trust this clarifies ****************************** concerns. Nonetheless, should she like to speak with one of our representatives, she may contact the PageTurner Press and Media Care Department.

      I spoke to people at Page Turner Press and they insisted that I had not been contacted even though the message I was left proved otherwise. When I requested to speak to a supervisor, I was placed on hold for 30 minutes with no answer. 

      This business is a scam. It requires people to pay to have their books published which is not a proper way to have books published. In addition, they still have not responded to how they collected the information of a minor. I may be an adult now, but I'd been receiving calls from them since I was 16.

      date march 2023 to September 2023. Page Turner offered me a fraudulent contract of $2.1 mil for my book. I accepted the offer, he sent the contract in the name of ******************** ************************************. *********************** told me it's going to cost $$268,483.12 to fulfil the contract. I paid including $66,000 for income tax. I paid up when I was to go to ******** for the book signing, He said I need another $80,000 for my accommodation in **. then I know something was wrong, then *************************** ask for another $37,000 to investigate why it take so long for me to get paid, I did not paid the $127,000 so they stop answering my calls, and not returning my email. I would like my $268,483.12 be refunded to me. Its all my retirement funds I paid to Page Turner thought I was going to get it back through this contract they gave me. I contacted Macmillan Publishers they said Page Turner is a fraudulent company they do not do business with them.

      I have a book currently published with Pageturner Press and Media, Last year I finished paying for a book treatment which cost me $5000 and made a payment of $1000 for a marketing campaign which i was suppose to continue paying as time went by. The marketing campaign fee was due to a deal that was being made with the MacMillan publishing company. They were and as far as I know still are going to aquire the rights to my book for a year, and the deal is supposed to be finalized next month. I have not been able to make any payments because the people I have been working with are not answering their phones or returning messages. The last time I spoke to someone was the Monday before Christmas and I was told by them that because I haven't made any other payments sense the previous $1000 there may be problems with the deal now. This was told to me on that Monday, the person was supposed to be getting back to me by Tuesday, and never did. I have tried numerous times to contact them and there has been no answer or reply to messages. I haven't been able to make payments due to them not answering their phones and not returning messages and I have tried. There have been numerous times in the past when I called and left a message saying that I could make a payment by a certain date and when that date came and I went to make a payment, no one answered and reply to messages. The people I have been working with are ******************* for the $5000 book treatment and ************************* for the $1000 marketing campaign. Please be advised that according to what I discussed with ********************** the $1000 was the initial payment and I was going to pay what I could, when I could until the deal was finalized with ********* publishing and then pay the rest with what I received from the deal. I need answers for this and coming here to make this complaint is a last resort sense I can't reach anyone at Pageturner.
