I responded to an ad (hear.com) for hearing aids on the internet. I was contacted by ************************* to set an appointment on 11/28/2022 for 01/06/2023 at CALIFORNIA HEARING AID CENTER; *********************************************************************, My hearing was checked and a mold of each of my ear canals was made. I had the impression that the hearing aids would be furnished by HORIZON HEARING AIDS. At the 2nd appt. the new hearing aids were to be adjusted and fitted; however, one of the hearing aids which were manufactured by SIGNIA was not functioning properly and had to be returned to the factory for repair. During the 3rd appt. on 02/22/2023, both hearing aids were adjusted, fitted, and seemed to be working properly. During the next nine months I experienced several problems which necessitated returning the devices to the factory for repairs about 5 or 6 times. Finally on 11/20/2023 the hearing aid charger stopped functioning. This made me recognize the hearing aids were not manufactured by the company per the advertisement and are not reliable. I contacted California Hearing Aid and told them I that I will return the hearing aids and will stop the automatic payments from my bank account. They said they are not able to accept a return. I asked them to cancel the remaining payments to be made to **************. I do not expect a refund of the payments that have already been made to ALLEGRO.Initial Complaint

On June 22, 2022, I was referred by my insurance to CA hearing center. Received a hearing test, and ordered devices. Was informed of the cost of product, and the order was sent to ******************* Several weeks went by with no contact. Called center several times, during normal business hours, no answer. Left messages, for which the Centers message said some one would get back to me. They did not. I called the insurance who then told me, they could not send the approval unless we paid the entire cost. It took a few days of back and forth with insurance to be sure all the is were dotted and ts were crossed. That was August 3,2022. The insurance told me that I should be called within 14 days. 14 days came and went, no call. I called CA center. Got voicemail. No call back. Was able to speak with a person (finally), who then referred me back to ************* care, and the loan company, because she had no information that showed I had paid. That took a day! Apparently UHC, had sent the information to the wrong email.They assured me that was fixed, even talked to ***** to confirm that things would then be moving forward. That was 3 weeks ago (or more). The dates have become a bit scrambled.But what I do know is, I called today, Spoke with *****, who said, Ill have to call the factory, I will call you back. That was at 1:00 pm, 9/19/2022. Now its 6:30, and I have not received a call back. This company has $4000. I have nothing. I have been more than patient. The disrespect they have shown is unbelievable. I dont want to start this process again, I would just like the hearing aids I thought I bought 3 months ago.
