Purchased a Kalamera dual zone wine cooler from ********** for $853.76 on 9-18-22 (see attached) and 3-year manufacturer extended warranty for $250 on 2-2-23 (see attached). Contacted Kalamera on 4-19-24 for service when it was having a cooling problem and was contacted by email by ******************************** asking for many different tasks to diagnose the problem instead of simply sending someone to the house to service the cooler. One of these tasks including moving the cooler, removing the back panel and testing the compressor which I could not perform due to my back problems. After more than a week of emails I was told the problem it was likely main control board as well as the right side control board but that I only had a limited warranty that only included parts and NOT labor. According to the 3rd paragraph of the warranty (see attached): "The Kalamera warranty covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product through repair or replacement of any defective part and necessary labor so that it conforms to its original specifications." The extended warranty did not provide any details and does not say "limited" or "parts only". Upon emailing for clarification on why labor was not included on this service, since warranty clearly states to the contrary, the company has refused to respond to my emails or repair my cooler. All I wanted was for the company to stand behind the extended warranty I purchased and provide parts and labor to repair my cooler. Instead, I have received delays and excuses on why they will not honor their warranty on my cooler.Initial Complaint

Approximately 2 years ago, I was gifted a 21 bottle ********* free standing thermal wine cooler as a wedding gift. It worked great up until a few weeks ago when the unit's LED display froze and started making an abnormal buzzing sound which was only remedied by unplugging the unit. I took a video of the noise and sent it to the company. I have tried multiple times to contact your company in an attempt to resolve this issue or determine a fix. Additionally, the person who gifted it for me has done the same but neither of us have been able to get any correspondence from your company. This is very unfortunate, as my wife and I have truly enjoyed the wine cooler and it has been great up until this point. I am very disappointed with the customer service that Kalamera has shown and the lack of help the company has provided in trying to resolve this issue. Furthermore, my family and I are moving across the country and now have to decide what to do with the nonfunctioning appliance.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
Due to moving across the country in November 2022, I was unable to afford to move the cooler, especially given that it was not functioning at the time. I no longer have the ability to repair the cooler, and I am very disappointed that it took 2 years to receive a response. Was it expected that I would have kept an item that was defective for that amount of time ? I tried communicating with the company on multiple occasions, but did not receive any responses that helped me through the issue.
