Do Not Do Business With These People. The national franchise promises "Companionship." Very few of the the employee of this franchise offer companionship. In fact, many of them go to the farthest distance in the room away from my father & most of the are all their phones all day. Some of them are abusive. My Father is 100-years old & needs 24 hour care. Unfortunately, my sister, who has his POA for healthcare, hired these people. Many of them are simply incompetent. They don't know how to make a bed or the difference between a bath towel & a bath mat. They do not notice that the Dishwasher is broken & continue to put dishes in it. In a single walk around the house I will see that Daddy has thrown one of his used Depends into his laundry bin, rather than into the trashcan. The caretaker has been there All Day & Not noticed this?! The Night caretakers. Shift change is at 8 so I would call him around 8:15 and he would tell me someone had come in, but he did not know who & the person had gone upstairs. I would call him back about 8:45 & they were still upstairs. My bed was rumpled when I arrived. He believes these people are boarders who are paying him. As If. He has also called me because there is a stranger in his house giving him orders & he is afraid of her & I have had to call the Pomona PD to do a wellness check on him. If someone cannot come into the home & assure an elderly & confused gentleman that she is a caretaker & not a robber, that person should not be a caretaker. My sister slandered me to the Supervisors, who repeated the Slander to the Caretakers, instead of reviewing my father's file with them. The Supervisors have also assaulted me (I'm 72) in the Family Home & I have filed reports with APS , There are some nice caretakers. Daddy likes the pretty ones -- but it is my deduction from the frequent changes in personnel that the good ones leave as soon as they can find a better agency.
