We bought a used car from this car lot. 3 days later check engine light comes on, we let him know he said he’ll fix it. Well a few days later it comes back on again.I called lemon law number they told me it showed a problem smogging car in March and gave me reasons. We went to talk to him he was very unprofessional and cussed at me and said he wasn’t going to help us unless I left and my husband stayed. So he said he’ll look at it well lights on again he refuses to do anything we have only had this car now 3 weeks.Business response

Hello, Complainant bought a 2003 Chevy Tahoe from us on May 4th, 2023, the vehicle was sold AS/IS as the complainant was fully aware of. On May 9th, 2023 complainant came in with a printout from Auto Zone stating that the check engine is on and the codes referring to a knock sensor issues. So we gladly ordered an aftermarket knock sensor from ( Auto Zone ) and replaced it for the complainant at no cost even thought the car was sold AS/IS and we are not obligated to so. On May 16th. 2023 complainant came in and mentioned that the check engine is back on and while me and complainant were talking on a nice level, the spouse came in screaming and hollering loudly at me saying ( are you going to fix my car ), at this moment I felt disrespected by her and I asked her to step outside, while me and her spouse finished our conversation we made arrangement for him to drop off the tahoe on the following day, as he did.
Even though we are not obligated and have any responsibility to fix the problem, at this time and regardless of the screaming and disrespect we got from the spouse and us operates on a high level of professionality, we ordered an O.E. parts knock sensor from the dealer ( Hedrick's Chevrolet ) and replaced it again at no cost. I believe we went above and beyond on the issue by the complainant despite the fact that the vehicle was bought AS/IS and we have no obligation or responsibility to fix anything.
Please see the attached document in reference to ( Smog history & Parts replaced ).
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
He lied about the situation when I came inside. As soon as I told him that I already knew about issues with car from lemon law associate. He then became very angry and stood up started getting loud and cussing at me. If he “fixed the sensor” the first time why did code keep popping up? I didn’t except buying a car the check engine light would come on 3 days later. I also didn’t mention he had a salvage car for sale as well.
