My complaint is about GB3. I have had a membership for many years. I used to go to the Milburn facility. In March 2020 - when the Covid 19 pandemic began in earnest, I was advised not to go to the gym because I have many high-risk health conditions making me at risk for Covid. In September 2020, I called the gym to cancel my membership. They told me that I had to go to the gym to cancel. Thinking I had no other option, I just let the $29 per month debits continue. In the Spring of 2021, I called again to cancel. They said I had to come to the facility in person to do so. Finally, on January 24, 2023, I finally went to Milburn gym and completed the Request to Stop George ***** Sports Club Membership Dues. I asked the young woman at the front if I could get a refund for any part of the time during Covid restrictions. She gave me the number to a corporate office. *** *** **** where I could ask about a refund. During the call, I was told that I could have called corporate at any time to cancel or I could have appealed to the corporate office directly. This was news to me. No one at the gym ever told me I had the option to go through corporate. Corporate office! I called to ask for a refund or partial refund due to the highly unusual worldwide crisis - something none of us has ever experienced. She said no, but she would ask George ***** about my request and call me back. I have not heard back from Mr. *****. I am hoping you can help me get a refund for 2020 - 2022 (at a minimum).Initial Complaint

I went Into the gb3 office to freeze my account! They had me sign papers and told me what i owed after that they still charged me every month now my bill is up to 500! Im not paying that i want to cancel that account now!Business response

******* ******** did come into our gb3 office and filled out a freeze form 9-10-21. When she joined the gym on 3-16-2021, she purchased the plan that is a 12 month contract. The billing would continue for the 13 month or if she wanted to cancel there would be a $100 cancellation fee. The balance is owed. She never made any payments. If she would like to pay the cancellation fee of the $100.00, I would be willing to waive the balance.

I canceled my gym membership and it was not honored. This was before covid. I called during covid to address the issue and only got a machine and no answer. I left messages but because of covid no response. They are trying to charge me for months after I canceled. This is fraud. I canceled my membership and am aparently I am still being "billed" to an expired credit card. These charges are unauthorized and therefore criminal. I have gotten no resonse from the company saying that only george the owner can reverse the charges but he is un reachable my me. I repeat criminal.
