We filed our taxes with ******** on March 19th 2023 At the time of the filing she informed us that everything had went through smoothly and we should be receiving our tax return within 2 to 3 weeks. Nearly two months later we still had not received our tax return. I made several attempts to contact her via phone call and text message and she never responded. I took it upon myself to call the IRS to see what the issue was. The IRS informs me that my tax return had been rejected due to a software issue on her part. When I text her and told her the information she finally called me back about a week later and informed me that she would continue to fix her software issue and file my taxes within the week. After another month passes by, and me contacting her several times, she still had not fixed the issue. At this time I asked her to mail me my tax information and I would just turn it in myself. I have been waiting for 3 weeks to receive my mailed tax info and still have not received them from her. I have contacted her several times in which she informs me that she mailed them and I should be receiving them any day. Every time I talk to her the date that she mailed them has changed. I just need my tax information so I can be done with her and file it myself.Initial Complaint

I contacted ******** ******* of Patricia Stewart Tax and Bookkeeping Services approximately in March 2021 to have my taxes completed. She asked me to mail my tax documents to her, which I promptly did. I was having a very difficult time contacting her after that because she does not answer the phone or respond to text messages. It takes multiple times for her to finally answer a call or text message. Sometimes going weeks without a response. Every time she gave me a personal excuse for not returning my call or message and not filing my taxes. On August 2, 2021 she stated she will be filing my taxes by August 5, 2021. She once again disappeared. I’ve asked her multiple times to mail me my documents back since she is unprofessional and I need to file my taxes. Finally on September 13, 2021 she responded by stating she will return my documents, but she failed to do so and has not returned any calls or messages. She is unprofessional and a fraud. This has impacted my tax filings and put my family in a bad predicament. Need my documents returned and a BBB consumer alert filed.
