    I purchased a ****** BTU top vent Williams Furnace Co. wall furnace on 12/22/23 from ********* Supply in ********, **. I installed the unit at my customer's apartment complex and that night it caught on fire and didn't trip the breaker due to the fan going to ground which melted the wiring and fan motor. This caused a fire inside the furnace. My customer called me the next morning and I inspected the equipment and immediately called ********* Supply's Tech Line and they referred me to call your company. I did so and left a message. I've called back multiple times, leaving a total of four messages and no one has responded to my calls.I have replaced the furnace due to the customer not wanting a unit that burst into flames at my own expense and am now out money on the job.

    We have 8 Williams wall vent propane furnaces (model: *******) in our 4 cabins. We chose to use Williams products because the property was already outfitted with with Williams heaters from the 70s and they seemed like quality products since they lasted for 50 years. Now that we have the new, more aesthetically pleasing Williams furnaces in, we've had so many issues! We've had a total of 5 gas valves break on us. They still operate the furnace, but leak gas from the valve itself. We've had the original contractor work on them and then hired a new contractor when the original installer retired. We've checked the tank pressure, the pressure coming to the heater, the regulators, everything that could be causing the issue on our end. We just paid a $1000 bill for a contractor to figure out that two more of our Williams gas valves are indeed not functioning and leaking gas. Of course, our warranty ended a year ago. They only warranty for a year so..... I've been in contact with Williams since we've been having this issue and luckily our installer put in new valves free of charge for us for the first 3. Williams swears there are no recalls and offers very little assistance. The contractor says gas valves rarely break, but here we are 5 total. BUYER BEWARE! This is a classic tale of "things are not made the way they used to be" as we've spent 16,000$ (for 8 units and installation) on new Williams heaters that don't function as well as their old models. Their customer service is minimal, they offer very little assistance to the end user and make me communicate via our contractor and they haven't offered to replace them. It appears that their attitude towards me is rooted in suspicion, as if I am attempting to deceive or unlawfully acquire something from them. Although this is a very common heater in our area, I would seek out another product, Williams does not stand behind theirs.
