Company was to perform all HVAC work required in connection with a new residential addition/expansion. Work was to be staged as project progressed and included but was not limited to relocation of air existing conditioning unit, new refrigerant lines, new ductwork, dampers, zoning of system, new thermostats, test and balance system plus multi-year warranties on equipment, labor and workmanship. Company now does not return calls and their physical location/business office doors are locked. Company appears to have closed their business prior to completing the contracted work and in addition, has not corrected or fixed issues/deficiencies with some of the work previously completed. Previous work deficiencies were communicated/pointed out to Company but never resolved. Key issues include failure to provide and install 2 matched zoning thermostats, missing register covers, zoning system not operating correctly, foam insulation on new refrigerant lines significantly ripped/torn/shredded during line installation, legacy water pump not disconnected/removed when new gravity condensation drain line installed, paperwork/warranty info on new zoning board not provided, system balancing not completed. Cost for us to engage another contractor to complete and correct work will now far exceed unpaid portion of contract. In addition, contract price included multi-year warranties (parts, labor, workmanship) which will now not be honored or available

After 2 weeks of complaining on 12/11/23 **** and *** came out and made quieter. *** said she wanted to talk to owner (***********************) he never called her. I found out company out of business 12/11/23 midnight. ***** now GM + at Green *** solar. I finally got ahold of him he said he would write my mom a check. I told him to keep $1000 for a "service call charge" to be fair. No check refuses calls. we don't even know if he obtained permit to install in Manufactured home. Mom lives in ********* ********** ***** ************** *************************. They never provided an estimate to fix or detailed billing. There was nothing wrong with original furnace. Had our ** system replaced by them a few years ago. Every year it leaks, they fill and it and it leaks again. They've also tried with each 6 month 'inspection' to hard sell us on either new filters, insulation etc. These guys are criminals! ** stopped pumping out cold air after about 4 months and it's a total lemon. They sent some intimidating goon to our house when we complained after the 4th time the ** stopped working.** has now been ruled with ***** at least 4x since we owned it. Occasionally in the house we experience headaches and nausea and although we can't prove it this started happening after the HV** was installed.

      Good afternoon *******,

I am reaching out on behalf of complaint ticket #********.

Here is the time-line of events and the current status of our relationship with the client.

      - We installed a furnace and air conditioner with coil on 5.4.2018.

      - We returned on 2 separate occasions to address client concerns (April 2019 & May 2020).

-During the last visit in May 2020, we tightened connections and refrigerant pressures held properly.

      - We returned in July of 2020 to perform manufacturer required maintenance on the air conditioner. The unit was up to manufacturer specifications and was operating properly.

May 2020 was the last time we heard from the client regarding operational issues until we received notice of the BBB complaint  on ****.23.

      - On ****, we immediately contacted ************** to discuss his concerns and gather more information.

During our phone conversation, ************** indicated that he had hired other HVAC companies since July of 2020. He indicated they added refrigerant on 3 separate occasions and in one instance injected a "leak seal chemical". This chemical voids manufacturer warranties and if the injections was performed by a reputable company-they would have seen that the system has a full manufacturer warranty through ****. Subsequently offering a warranty repair in lieu of the "leak seal injection".

He stated "one of your g*&@s (expletive) came here and tried to intimidate me". I shared with him that we put our clients first and believe in life-long relationships and any team-member behavior outside of this philosophy is unacceptable and will be addressed. I asked if he had a description of the person, the name or if could share with me the details of what happened. He stated he "didn't remember-it was over 2 years ago".

      - The same day (****.23), we dispatched our Installation Manager, he arrived at 1:21pm.

He located a faulty coil, which had a manufacturer defect.

      - 8.18.23, we dispatched an Installation Team to replace the coil under warranty.

Our crew completed the coil replacement just before 1pm, pressures held and AC cooling properly.

We have since left 2 voicemails and sent an email to schedule a post construction QAC (which is our standard protocol) and resolve any other matters at hand.

      He has become unresponsive.

At this current time, we have taken all the steps we have been allowed to ensure his satisfaction.

      A million thanks,

      Good morning *****,

We received the information regarding your concerns after the contract was signed, installation project completed, and you signed the invoice indicating you were satisfied with the work provided by Certified.

As shared in prior discussions, our calls are recorded, and we performed a thorough investigation into the concerns you initially shared with management. Lifelong relationships with our clients are something we take pride in and trust that we wanted no different with you.

Upon listening to the recorded calls, we noticed you indicated that your salesperson did notify you that the equipment was "Day & Night". During the call, you stated you were unfamiliar with the name, so you assumed he meant in comparison to the equipment you currently have. Your husband also shared a similar comment during the second recorded phone call we listened to.

On one of the calls, you stated that you called 2 other companies to receive quotes for Lennox "because your neighbor had a Lennox installed and your husband liked the look of it better" and based on their proposals you wanted us to discard our contract that you signed and remove the equipment we installed along with a refund.

Our guarantees are in place as a commitment between Certified and the client so our clients can feel confident that if an issue does arise, they have a company they can count on. They are not in place to call upon in the event you like the way another brand looks after the project is complete.

Day & Night is one of the leading brands in our industry and offers warranties **** times greater than the proposals you received from other companies.

Certified has gone over and above required by our guarantees or warranties by offering several solutions. With every single provision offered, we were met with refusal and the inability to communicate with you.

As per the recorded phone calls, contract, installation commencement signature and the signature that acknowledged your satisfaction after the installation was complete, we have honored our commitments to you.

Certified will continue to honor the 10-year parts and labor warranty also stated in our contracts.
