Last year on October 10, 2022, I bought and took delivery of the brand new Toyota RAV4 from the Toyota Concord, ** dealer located at **** Concord Ave, Concord, ** *****. My complaint is that this brand new vehicle is very noisy when driving on the road (but it does not sound like engine noise). I have not made any modifications to the vehicle or the tires. The car is exactly as it was when I took delivery. I took the car back several times to the dealer as part of the scheduled Toyota Care maintenance to point out the noise issue and complaint about the noise. The dealer denies any responsibility and wants $299 for diagnostics.On April 7 2023, the dealer service team checked, change oil and rotate tires, but the noisy still the same - very loud. I went to the dealer again on August 15, 2023 and had the mechanic ride the car with me. The dealer mechanic said he said the car needs a diagnostic process/analysis and quoted me $299, which is outrageous because this new car is not even 1 year old from coming off the factory line and the car is still under warranty. Furthermore, I also paid $936 for 8 year bumper-to-bumper extended warranty when I picked up the car. I should not have to pay the $299 for the diagnostic or get it fixed. I suspect it is something wrong with the tires or parts connect to the tires (like wheel bearing, etc.), which I expect to be covered under the TWO warranties I have -- the one from Toyota Corp and the additional extended warranty. I drove my daughter's 2018 RAV4 and that is nowhere as noisy. My in-laws bought two brand new 2023 Toyota RAV4 earlier this year are both not noisy at all. My relatives agreed that my own Toyota RAV4 is too noisy compared to their own. This RAV4 quality is not up to par or the Toyota reputation of quality and safety.My request is that Toyota or the Concord dealer to take responsibility to investigate and fix this noise problem on this car for no charge.
