I brought my dog here on 10/26/21 because he injured his gums. He was prescribed amoxicillin. Also given an alIergy shot. The vet told me he has allergies because he licks his paws. Later he was acting lethargic. My dog wasnt better in the morning. So I called and told them I think he is having a reaction to the allergy shot. They told me to bring him in. The vet on duty was *******************. I told her I thought my dog was having a reaction to the allergy shot. She told me theirs no side effects. Said she would do blood work. Came back and said unable to draw blood because he was bruising. Also dehydrated with low temperature. Put him on heating pad. We assumed he was being treated. She came to the lobby and told us she was unable to draw enough blood to run a test. She said something about a steroid to save his life. That worried us, this was the first time we heard anything about Luckys situation being life threatening. I asked to go back and see him. We walked to the back and one assistant was holding a ventilator. Im not sure why he was on a ventilator. They also did X-rays which I wasnt aware of. He was noticeably worse. ************* made us think he was getting better. He started panting from the heating pad. He couldnt keep his head up. He had bruises all over his arms. The vet left and came back with a blood test. She said he has chronic kidney failure. She told me I shouldve taken him to the ** but theres a 2 hour wait and they had the same equipment. I was never made aware that he needed to be taken to the ** until it was too late. She asked me if he got into something. The only thing different was the allergy shot. She said euthanizing was only option. She missed his veins twice. Finally gave him the shot. We lost our dog due to negligence. His record shows an alert for a reaction to the shot. The whole time she blamed something else. Then wants to charge $1200. I believe there was misconduct. A professional needs to investigate. Have more evidence also.
