On Jan, 10, 2022, Andrew, from Concrete Masters of Selma, CA, license #******, submitted an invoice via email in the amount of $30,293 to remove old concrete and pour a new 30'x30' concrete slab for a new metal barn. I paid approximately 1/3 up front for the purpose of purchasing the material to get started and within a few days the old concrete was removed and the new slab was poured and in my eyes, it looked great. I paid in full. The issue quickly started when the barn material and the barn installation crew arrived and the foreman told me the concrete was NOT level and the barn could not be constructed until the issue was fixed. I contacted ****** and told him the issue and he quickly came over and poured a thin layer of concrete over the existing concrete to raise it level enough to be able to start the construction of the barn. The construction crew started towards the end of February and completed approximately April 6. But as soon as they were finished, we all noticed the thin layer of concrete that was put down to make it level was now cracking badly and chunks of concrete was coming apart. I emailed ****** on April 11, 2022 that it needed to be fixed and he said he'd send his crew out right away to fix it, but it took me several more emails with a lot of excuses from ****** on why he couldn't come out to fix it, but he finally came out approximately May 11, 2022, to start to repair the cracked concrete, but he demanded I pay him $800 to repair the concrete that was not my fault! He left without finishing the job and he said he'd be back out in a week. I have emailed him 32 times and called him a couple of times, since April 11, asking him to finish the work he started. And it was excuses like he was on other jobs, an employee ordered the wrong concrete, they didn't have the material he was sick. Now he won't return my last email and I've paid a total of $38, 293 for an incomplete job. I'm tired of getting him to finish the job.
