              I bought a Datcon Hour Meter MDL # *** for $87.95 and shipping $20.05 (order N *******) . The Meter stopped working at 30.3 hours. Aircraft Spruce made me mail it to ******* Global Instruments for analyses and I have to pay shipping $6.90 ( Tracking is **********************). It was received 04/29 at ******* Global Instruments. Now they want me to wait for 2-3 weeks . I feel like I have been ripped off, because I bought the meter from Aircraft Spruce , but they will not step up and take responsibility. I am requesting a refund, including all shipping expenses, because I don't trust Datcon anymore. I have been A.S. customer since the mid 80s and I've always been happy. I wish this had not happened, because I don't trust A.S. anymore. Thank you for your help.

              I placed an order with Aircraft spruce on sept 29 2021 for $198.00 After over a week of waiting w/ no tracking number or order number provided I contacted AS to get a tracking number for my order. They claimed I had bounced a check with them in 2010 for less than the amount pre paid for my current order. I checked statute of limitations on NSF checks for California and under CA law it states 3yrs to recover funds or file legal action. But after 11yrs aircraft spruce held and was going to keep $198 of my money in order to “recoup” funds. To be clear this is VERY ILLEGAL and falls under “THEFT” under California law. My funds were not returned to me until I started directly stating Aircraft Spruce has defaulted on delivery of goods and services already paid for and that constitutes theft !!

              Mr. ****** did bounce a check for $243.66 in 2010 and it was never repaid. This is a fact which he has not disputed but has refused to make the check good. He placed an order on Sept. 29 for $198 and paid by PayPal. When we reviewed the order and found it was from a customer who had cheated our company with the bounced check we immediately cancelled the order and refunded his PayPal account in full. We had never had any intention of keeping the $198 to help pay for the past due debt. If Mr. ****** elects to repay us in full for the funds we lost due to his bad check in 2010 we will be glad to reinstate his account and process any new order he wishes to place, although we will not accept checks as payment going forward. An apology from Mr. ****** for neve making the bad check good years ago and the abusive treatment he gave our staff last week on the phone would be in order as well.
