I have a 2020 Saleen F150 with ****** miles. In Nov 23' my check engine light came on. I took it to a local **** dealership, ***** **** in ******** **, they said it needed a new MAP sensor. We got in touch with Saleen. After 4 months and a million headaches they finally sent the part and ***** **** fixed my ********* fast forward to July 24'. Same thing happens again. I take it to the same dealership they say again it needs a new MAP sensor but they cannot work on the truck because the invoice from last year was never paid. I've been calling and leaving messages with people at Saleen, no one calls back. I've been emailing with Spring ******, she works for Saleen and is supposed to be managing this problem, it takes her a week to answer every email and all she keeps saying is " accounting isn't my department." ***** **** will not release exactly what's wrong with my truck to Saleen until the invoice is paid. Saleen can't order the part til ***** **** tells them exactly what to order. So I can't get my truck fixed til Saleen pays their past due invoice. I have done everything I can possibly think of to get Saleen to pay this invoice and they just will not do it. That is why I've had to file this BBB complaint. Thank you

Newer Car Warranty Coverage not being fulfilled. Purchased a new 2019 Saleen Mustang from Ford of Murfreesboro (Murfreesboro, TN - Authorized Saleen Dealer) on 4/15/2020. Due to loss of job and lack of available jobs during the Covid Pandemic I moved back to Chicago area on July 1st, 2021. My vehicle has very low mileage (11600) and towards the end of October I brought my vehicle to Schaumburg Ford but they could only do an oil change as their mechanics were on strike. I ended up bringing the vehicle to Joe Cotton Ford (Carrol Stream, IL) with the complaint of a belt slip and their mechanic said they could not find it. Even though there was belt residue on the aluminum engine block (I have video). I then brought the vehicle to Friendly Ford (Roselle, IL) and they were initially willing to work on it but after a month and a half of in and out of the shop with no repairs made they finally said they do not have a technician capable of working on my car and refused to work on it any longer. Saleen is aware of these issues as I have multiple email records confirming this information and as of today (12/13/2021) I do not have anywhere to take my vehicle and Saleen told me that everyone was working on it to help me find an authorized Saleen servicing dealer or they would authorize a special approval for me to take my vehicle to a performance shop. This morning I send a list of all the current issues to Saleen and someone in their warranty department (**** ********) told me that I need to take the car to an authorized dealer because they don't work directly with the public. This was not what was discussed with ******** ***** (Saleen Warranty) who I've been working with for the last month and a half. So I have a new car under full warranty and I cannot get Ford or Saleen to assist with service or parts. I have extensive email correspondence and video of the vehicle issues. I spent $75,000 out the door on this vehicle when I purchased it.

I have spoken with Mr. ******* several times, and as indicated in my response to him on Monday, December 13th 2021 we are willing and able to send parts to any Authorized Ford Dealer that he would like to take his vehicle to.

If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me.

I am rejecting this response because: As explained to ******** (Originally handling my warranty issues until passed off to new trainee ****)(Warranty Dept), the Ford dealers I have brought my vehicle to will not do work on the car because they do not have the properly trained technicians. I was told by ******** that it was "All hands on deck working on finding me a local dealer or provide special authorization for me to take it to a performance shop". After that comment was made he handed off my warranty issues to a new person who now will not speak or email with me and as it is clearly stated in his response "they will work with any Ford dealer I choose" but as I said, none in my area will work on it. This is after I was told I would get assistance - see email chains I provided on my original complaint. I have also come across other Saleen owners who have tried to take their new vehicles to a multitude of Ford Dealers only to be sent away and Saleen has refused helping them as well. You can see this on the Saleen Owners Groups online. All I want is for Saleen to either help me find a local dealer (I've contacted just about all of them and have been told no) or authorize me to bring it to a professional performance shop where they have qualified technicians to work on it. They need to honor what they said to me and hold true to the full warranty I paid for when I purchased this vehicle new on 4/15/2020.

As we have previously stated in order for repairs to take place the vehicle must be taken to a Certified Ford Dealership. They will need to conduct diagnostic testing and contact us if they deem necessary for repairs or for repairs pertaining to Saleen installed equipment. Once we (Saleen Automotive) agree on a repair plan with them (Ford Dealership) we will authorize certain labor items and ship parts to them (Ford Dealership) as necessary and as agreed upon.

I must reiterate that any Ford Dealer should have the training necessary to work on a vehicle upfitted by Saleen Automotive. I can inform you that the closest Ford Dealer that carries Saleen Automotive products is Ames Ford Lincoln in Ames, IA.
