      One of their sale person came to my home on 07/20/2022. He was extremely pushy, misled me to use their pest control service and sign a contract. To make me sign the contract, he promised me that I can cancel their service at any time without additional charge Their service turned out to be horrible,so I called their customer service to cancel it, however, that was not the case as they promised me in the first place. They charged for $290 to cancel. I read over their ******* Yelp and BBB reviews, a lot of customers have the same case as me. I am seeking the resolution of free cancellation of their service and an apology from their rude customer service ********************Service involved: pest control Collar amount dispute: $290 Transaction date: 09/28/2022 *********** is not advertised on media that I am aware of.I was misled by them to sign a contract.I called their customer service to cancel their service.I left a review on BBB website I haven't contacted any attorney yet.No court action pending.

      We were solicited at our home with a verbal offer of pest control services. We were offered a "deal - "Bimonthly" at $50 per month. The technician sprayed our home that day in June. We were later charged $99 for the month of June. When the technician returned in July, we requested to cancel and asked if this current visit was the SECOND visit at what we assumed was $50 - hence thinking we had already paid for TWO sprays, he confirmed and we allowed him to spray again in July and let him know we wished to cancel. We were then charged another $99 for the month of July. So far we have paid $99 in June and $99 in July for what we were told verbally would be a $50 ******************** We called to complain and confirm cancellation and are now being told there will be a $250 cancellation fee. According to "********'s Rights to Cancel Home Solicitation Contracts K-9 ********************* of ******** Affairs" the seller should have provided us with a DETACHABLE "Notice of Cancellation" form making the cancellation agreement clear and "conspicuous"We were not made appropriately aware of this $250 cancellation fee - everything was done on an ipad & later emailed. Upon checking YELP reviews this appears to be a recurring pattern with other customers. The salesman came to my house and tried to sell me his service and I said no. Then he said I'll cut you a deal for $50 to try to earn my business. The next month the service guy showed up and tried to spray my yard and I said I don't need your service. I called the Company and they said I signed a 12 month contract, I never signed a contract and the sales man signed some scribble on the IPad and tried to say I signed a contract. Watch out for these people. They come by really nice and then Here comes the *** DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS!!

I see ****** attached the signed service agreement which aligns exactly with the two services provided, as well as the call recording reviewing the mutual agreement. We are very flexible with our billing and if you would rather pay $49.5/month instead of $99 every other month that is no problem! Let us know if that's something you would like from us.

      I also attached a recorded call from when you first signed up. After our customers sign up, we want to make sure everything is clear and understood. In this recorded call we reviewed with ****** the price per service, service frequency, length of agreement, early cancellation fee, as well as our guarantee to them as our customer. If there is anything else we can do to ensure you we are sticking to what was agreed to originally please let us know.       I am rejecting this response because:

      The solicitation at my home was fast and confusing and I was not given a paper contract to review. I felt pressured and rushed and did not understand the terms. Furthermore, we will be leaving the property at ********************************************************************************* effective August 1st 2022 and will NOT be residing at the address for the remainder of the year. If you would like to approach the owners ******************************* or ************************* to take up service you may come visit the property again after August 1st and solicit their business for the remainder of the year since we have already paid $99 for the first two months for services at this address.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Are you still planning on charging a $250 cancellation fee? If so, then we are not okay with that. WE CAN'T AFFORD IT. Attached is the Stipulation stating that the owners are kicking us out of our house before the end of the lease by August 1st. Not only are we expecting a baby August 22nd, but now we are being kicked out of our house by August 1st. We can't afford $250 for a service that we have not received and won't even be in the house to receive. We were quickly talked into this at the door and didn't understand the terms on the tiny ipad. These types of services on a house we don't own shouldn't be allowed without owner's permission anyhow. We get solicitations all the time from Solar Panel sales men at the door - wouldn't be able to do that without the owner's approval either. It costs you NOTHING to NOT come spray the house for the rest of the year- its not like we purchased a physical product from you, used it and are now trying to send it back. It literally costs you NOTHING. You're just trying to get more money from us and we CAN"T AFFORD IT. Please just be compassionate human beings. We DON"T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO PAY FOR LITERALLY NOTHING

      They agreed to come and spray a yellow jacket nest. They said not to call for a month but if the yellow jackets were still there they would spray for free. I called a a couple days beyond 1 months and two weeks. They said that two months is too long and they won't come out without additional payment.

      Hi, I'm sorry for the miscommunication. It looks like we came out and performed a one time service. Are you currently seeing yellow jacket nests? If so please give us a call ************ and we can come remove them. If you are just seeing them occasionally fly around unfortunately we can't do anything about that. We are unable to guarantee flying insects. If the first is true for you please call us. As them to check with **** (me) and I'll make sure we send somebody out.

      I had sales guy show up by my door on july 5th to offer me pest control by guy named ****** So he offer me a special deal for 50$ for first initial service and then 100$ by monthly. Asked for couple signatures that i agree to perform service so I signed it. After their 2 service i still have same issue nothing has changed. I reached out to request refund and to cancel service. They now telling me that im in a contract for year that i wasnt aware of and they dont want to refund me. Please help. Thanks

      The customer did in fact sign the agreement but the biggest thing is the customer also did a recorded welcome letter (attached). The customer had two services 30 days apart and never called for a reservice or anything. We do in fact have a pest free guarantee and would come back as needed for free to solve the issue. Pest control is not a one treatment fix all thing. Please see the contract which gives an idea of the treatment schedule and process. This customer technically owes a cancellation fee per the agreement. Unfortunately we will not be refunded the services performed and Brooks Pest Control feels justified in this.

      I think my expectations are pretty fair, employee from Brooks pest control came out 2 times if not more and my pest situation is absolutely same no difference at all like nothing has been done. I still have spiders, many spider webs and Ive seen rats as well. Im highly dissatisfied with your service. I should not have to call for your company to get your job done. When I called brooks they mentioned they will send someone more experienced to do another service. Why are you sending someone without proper training in the first place. The money i paid already has bought absolutely nothing in return. I want my refund and no further business.

      Brooks pest control charge me $114 for a service that the didnt do. They said they serviced our home yesterday 08/24. I called twice and they refused to refund me. I asked them to cancel the service to because they are incompetent. I have cameras to prove that no one came and my in law was home the whole day waiting for them. Customer service even stated that they tried calling me. No one called.

      Like a lot is people, Brooks brings a tablet and offers a one time “try before you commit” deal for $50. You sign your name to reserve your spot. They come to do the work, and suddenly you find out that you signed a contract with that signature. They didn’t show you anything before signing. They lie to homeowners to get contracts. When you reach out to their customer support, they are extremely disrespectful and short saying “can you not read the contract?” They shouldn’t be in business.

      I am unsure what the customer is looking for to resolve his issue. The account has already been frozen and the customer was only charged for the one time service of $50. The situation became a "he said she said" situation when the sales rep failed to have the office call the customer before their appointment to verify the contract information. We side with the customer in these situations so we froze the account.
