Went into Mach 1 about two months ago and they quoted me on a flat repair for $60 for the labor (I provided the parts).. I brought my bike back in today Friday 12/15 to get the same flat repaired. This time they quoted me for $250. Once again I provided the parts. I mentioned that the last time they repaired my flat they only charged $60. I asked why they were going to charge me 4x for the same repair. The response I received was very rude and dismisive. They claimed that mechanic said they did not know how to fix the flat. If you dont like getting price gouged then I wouldnt recommend bringing our bike to Mach 1. Very rude and unethical. It felt like they were just trying to quote me with an astronomical price to see if I would pay it.Business response

Being a motorcycle shop, we do not prefer working on electric bicycles ******.
We understand that it is frustrating to have all of the local electric bicycle shops reject working on your bike multiple times, hence you had no option to keep trying to ask us to work on it regardless of price.
Other than the front wheel, the bike is flawed and was not designed to be worked on very easily, it is not something you repeatedly seem to understand. However, most motorcycle shops charge an hourly rate of $100-$200 per hour, while bicycle shops are at a minimum of $20 per hour is something you are definitely aware of.
The front tube can be replaced easily by removing the wheel completely and can be done for $60.
However, the rear wheel cannot be completely removed from the bike without damaging the electrical wiring harness making it difficult to remove the tire without using our dedicated tire machine hence the reflected pricing. (They even have the process on ******* you can watch with people commenting that they struggle to do it themselves and takes at least 1.5 hours to complete.)Just for amusement, at the price of $60 (our $100 per hour rate), we would like to see you attempt the rear tube replacement in 35 minutes if you think it is such an effortless job. You have no knowledge of working on vehicles, yet you complain about the pricing and effort that goes into repairing your bike.
We wish you the best luck in finding an affordable shop that is willing help you in the future.
