License #******* Pool contract signed 12/2019. We paid a total of $204,000 for pool, hardscape, BBQ, and soft scape. The pool leaked immediately after completion 4/2020. We have worked with the builder the last year trying to get him to fix the leak, tile cracking, drainage that doesn't work, lights that don't work, materials left on spa (styrofoam), as well as many small items that were never finished. He has demanded money from us and threatened us. The *********** of Contractors are involved and he has been issued a citation (2020 ******). He has currently walked off the job even though he agreed to fix all the items we had listed. Our current estimates for repair are over $45,000.Initial Complaint

Our contract with OC Dream Pools was signed on 9/24/21. Excavation took place on 10/29/21. Project was to be completed within 125 days from day of excavation, which would make completion date on, 5/4/22. On Wednesday evening, 6/15/22, ******************************* text messaged us requesting payment of $10,400 in order to move forward with our scheduled pre-plaster inspection that was to take place the very next day. That would put our remaining balance at $0, leaving us the with just paying the plastering company. We told him we would pay for the tile and coping that was done, but not for the decking and concrete work, which is not done. He was extremely upset and threatened to cancel the inspection if he didn't get full payment PRIOR to the inspection. He also threatened to put a lien on our house and remove our pool equipment. He then called the city of ********************* and removed his permit from our pool and cancelled the inspection. In addition, upon our contract we were suppose to be getting 600sq ft. of concrete and 200sq ft. of astro turf. We wanted the concrete to be expanded out in length, so he made a change order that we agreed upon, but come to find out the existing concrete we received was short of what we were originally contracted for. We have just shy of 300 sq ft. of concrete and zero astro turf and were suppose to have 700 sq ft of concrete and ****************************************************************** place, but is not hooked up to the gas meter, the electrical panel or the water supply. We have told ****** numerous times over texts and phone calls that we will pay once work is completed. We recently sent him a 10 day notice of completion of work letter with no response. The city inspector of ********************* decided to put our inspection "on hold" due to the odd nature of the phone call from ****** calling to cancel inspection just hours before and demanding our pool plans. He is extremely difficult to work with and showed no signs of completing the work.
