I booked this hotel online. The pictures and price implied that this was an upscale hotel, small and quant near a lake. I arrived late at night to what seemed like a fortress or prison. Difficult to park and walk up the stairs. It did not appear to have an elevator or be ADA compliant at all. I was not offered any assistance and had to haul all of my things up the stairs to my room. The night clerk was unshaven, rude and very unprofessional. He seemed annoyed I was there. The room was disgusting. It was dirty, the air conditioning was broken and damaged, all of the windows and patio door were off their tracks and difficult to open. The side window had obvious signs of having the security screen pried off so someone could come in and rob the room. I felt unsafe the entire night. The TV remote did not work and when I turned on the TV, all of the channels said "Unavailable." The bathroom was filthy, the bed was dirty. Very few supplies like soap or shampoo were provided. There was no phone to call the front desk and the clerk left for the night leaving the front desk unattended and locked. They did not provide ice. The clerk told me to drive down to 7-11 if I wanted ice. In the morning, I went out on the balcony to see that it was riddled with termite damage and did not feel structurally secure. I went for a nice walk around the lake and returned very hot and sweaty with about 15 minutes until check-out time. I asked the clerk, who was not at the front desk, and was the same unprofessional person from the night before if I could have an additional 15-30 minutes so I could shower and he told me no. So I angrily packed all of my stuff and carried it down the stairs to my car in less than 15 minutes. I went back to the front desk to ask for a discount for such a poor room and experience and the clerk was not there. I rang the bell and he refused to come out so I left. I emailed the company and told them I wanted half of my money back and they did not respond.
