I hired New Vision Direct to assist with a mortgage modification. New vision states "They can get us the best rate" and they are there to help, to do what's in the best interest of the client. I made it CRYSTAL CLEAR to New Vision Direct if this was going to cost me more than 10,000 to do the modification I am not going to do it. (Keep in mind I was not behind in my mortage nor in danger of losing my home, my problem was Home Point Financial over charging me in escrow w/o the escrow being short) Anyway, all of what I was told was a lie. When New Vision Direct contacted ME I told them of the issues I was having with my current mortgage company. They suggested the mortgaged modification. That this would help lower my rate so on and so forth. This should have been completed no longer than 90 days. This took 6 months and then another 3 month trial period New Vision put their names and contact to my mortgagee company I could not see what was going on nor was ANY paper work or notices coming to me they all went to New Vision Direct. I also could not find out why it was taking so long. I know now that they did this on purpose. When the offer finally came through New Vision would let me see it until I paid them 5,100. They insisted a cashiers check (They would not take any other form of payment) "Hurry, Hurry get us the cashiers check NOW! I understand why they did this, the mortgagee company purposely waited until the rate went up that #1, and #2 New Vision wanted there money ASAP via cashier check to make sure once I found out it is costing me well over 20,000 I would not have paid them. I'm still going through finding out what the hell happened once they got their money they were gone! This was not in my best interest. They took advantage of me just to get the money. This entire thing has left me in a bad state of affairs. doing something about this. The very least they should do is refund my money. They act like they are qualified to help but they are not.Business response

I applied for a refinance through this company fro Mr******* my mortgage company. I paid them but did not actually get my refinance. I would like to get my money back. They are actually friends with mr******* and extremely crookedBusiness response
