      To the Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for allowing us to address the concerns raised by ****** in her complaint regarding her experience with our Dental X-ray and infection control courses. We are committed to delivering an educational program that not only meets but exceeds the standards and requirements set by the Dental Board of **********, with a particular focus on areas of paramount importance such as radiation safety and infection control.

In relation to the final written examination for the Dental X-ray license, we want to emphasize the importance of ensuring all candidates are thoroughly prepared to undertake the significant responsibilities that come with performing dental X-rays. This preparation includes a strong emphasis on patient safety. ******'s attempts to pass this examination on September 23, October 6, and October 10, resulted in scores of -17/50, -18/50, and -14/50, respectively. These scores reflect the number of correct responses she fell short of the 75% passing mark.

Furthermore, ****** also faced challenges with the part 2 exam in infection control, achieving a score of -17/35. This result similarly indicates a need for further review and understanding of the crucial material, specifically the practices and principles that are essential for ensuring effective infection control within dental settings.

Given these outcomes, we advised ****** to take advantage of the resources available on the Canvas platform, which includes comprehensive materials and assignments to aid in the mastery of course content. Recognizing the difficulties ****** encountered in achieving the required scores, we are extending an offer for her to retake the Canvas assignments for both the Dental X-ray and infection control courses. This is intended to provide her with another opportunity to deepen her understanding of the critical concepts, especially those concerning radiation safety and infection control, which are vital for the safety of patients and the public in dental practices.

It is crucial to understand that the objective of obtaining certification in these areas goes beyond simply passing exams. It encompasses a profound understanding of the implications of radiation and the importance of stringent infection control measures to safeguard public health and patient safety in dental offices. Our curriculum is designed to ensure that all students grasp these significant responsibilities fully.

Considering ******'s difficulties in passing the required examinations, it is apparent that a more comprehensive review of the course material is necessary. We strongly recommend that she retake the didactic components of both courses to solidify her knowledge and fully appreciate the importance of adhering to safety protocols in dental practices.

We acknowledge the delay in issuing ******'s certificates and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are taking immediate action to rectify this issue and ensure that ****** receives her certificates without further delay.

We have also taken steps to improve our communication and support systems, ensuring that all students have timely access to the assistance and guidance they require.

We are committed to supporting ****** in her educational journey, offering additional resources and guidance to help her successfully complete her certifications. Our dedication to our students' success and safety is unwavering.

Thank you for facilitating this dialogue. We are eager to work with ****** and the BBB to find a resolution that satisfies her concerns and supports her professional development.

      Sincerely,

      Suzie
