My parents had a process server drop off court summons documents at their home late March 2024 in **********. I should mention that my mother and I have the exact same name. I called the Resurgence Legal Group regarding this matter because the court case was filed in California. I have not lived in ********** for over 5 years and the loan that is in question was not originated in **********. I called the Resurgence Group on March 25, 2024 and spoke to ****. She told me that she would email their attorney and get back to me. I did not hear back so I called again on April 3, 2024. The first representative I spoke with told me that I need to set up a payment plan in order for the court case to be dismissed. We got into a back and forth that ended with me asking to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred to and left a voicemail. I called back to try to speak to ****. She answered and told me that an attorney had called me and spoke with me on March 27. This did not happen - I can pull my cell phone company's records if needed. I tried emailing as well with no response. I would like the court portion of this matter to be handled without me having to file a motion as this is being done in the wrong state.Initial Complaint

I am not liable for this debt with Resurgence Legal Group. I do not have a contract with this collection agency. I do not know what debt this agency is referring to and after looking at my credit report see that there is no such debt listed to me. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested.
