      I rented a "Ultimated Digital Karaoke 2" for 12/5/2021 to the ********************************** in *************, ** from Jc Margaritas & Party Rental. They supplied us with a broken karaoke machine. It was not usable, and after bringing it to their attention and giving them an opportunity to replace it before our event started, they did not. The monitor shifted over and over from black to blue and the lyrics could not appear as the screen was broken rendering it unusable. The remote also did not function, there was no way to play, pause, or stop songs. One microphone did not function at all and the other sounded robotic when you spoke into it. The rental was also supposed to come with two speakers, but they only supplied one. The one speaker they did provide would not process vocals, so music could not be played out of it. It was literally a dead weight that we could not use. We made them aware of this hours before the event and they were either unable or unwilling to get it working or replace it before the event started (or even during the event for that matter). I am appalled that this company is knowingly scamming people out of their money by providing broken equipment. The equipment did look as though its was over 20 years old, but that wouldn't have even mattered if it at least worked. I attempted contacting the business myself for a resolution and they refused to take ownership although they saw the machine and saw that it was literally not usable by any means. I am not accepting what they have knowingly done to my family by providing broken equipment to us and demand our $250 back. The total cost of the equipment was $250, which they made us pay to them upon arrival before setting anything up. I now understand their tactic. They need to be held accountable for their actions so they cannot scam anyone else.

      Hello,

      A lady calls us the day before the event in the afternoon and place the order of the Karaoke Machine which was rented previously by another costumer the night before. So, we pick-up the same karaoke early the day of the event to be available to delivery to this costumer on Sunday. The karaoke works perfect and no complains. 

      One of my driver's set-up the system and left the system working just fine, like we always do; we make sure that everything is working, and the customer received a tutorial how to operate. Then this lady calls us back saying that the system was not working properly. So, I personally went there, and it was someone else there so check everything again and we change a damage cable, and we test again and stay for about 10 minutes make sure everything works fine and the person who was there also make sure that everything was working.  

      I been doing this for almost 10 years.  Our karaoke systems we change every 3 years because of the upgraded songs. The Speakers was purchase two and half years ago and is in perfect conditions.

       

      When something like this happens. we pick-up the karaoke and bring the equipment to our place and put it together and test the system again. The karaoke did not have any issues and we rented the same karaoke 2 days after whit no problem.

      We are in business for 10 years and you can check our reviews on Yelp. We are not here to scam anybody other ways we will not been in business for so many years. But also, we will not tolerate from persons how want to take advantage from us.

      I may have already submitted this, but Im on my mobile device to be able to attach the videos and am unsure if the last comment went through. I have uploaded video proof of my complaint. The system absolutely did not function and was never addressed after enough to the companys attention. Please refer to my previous complaint for full details. I reject the businesss response and demand a full refund. As if having an in-usable machine want enough, I also attached a screenshot of their website description. We were supposed to receiver 2 speakers and only received one (which was blown out). And although I dont believe any other customers Yelp review have to do with this complaint, since the business brought it up there are multiple Yelp reviews with regard same problem, broken machines, letting the owner know, and the owner not holding themselves accountable. I do not want this business to be able to do this to anyone else and will continue to fight for my refund and to ensure this doesnt happen to anyone else again. (I have 2 videos that will not upload to this page, please let me know how I can send this video proof to the BBB)
