    In July 2023, I discontinued ******** cell phone service to switch to ***** I cancelled my ******** service at that time. Nonetheless, I was charged for two further months (August and September), totaling an extra $256.32. I tried to resolve by phone, but did not have my pin number, so I was told I had to do so in a store. I went to the ***** store in September. They told me that they had resolved the issue and I would be issued a refund in a couple months. I received a refund from ******** in January **** that was for $4.34. I called customer service and was told I would have to resolve the issue in the store. I went to the store on Jan 20, ****. When I described the situation to the manager ***, he immediately said there was nothing he could do because my account had been closed for more than 3 months. This was patently false as I had a statement showing my account was closed in January, but *** was unwilling to look at my documents or see if he could access my account. I understand perhaps he was having a bad day, but I was frustrated with him to say the least. Nonetheless, I remained polite and asked nicely if I could please speak to his supervisor. He refused and said that under ********** law he could refuse service to anyone and if I did not leave the store, he would call the police. Nothing even close to this has ever happened to me, so I was totally shocked, and while I doubted that a business could refuse service to a paying customer who was overcharged and seeking redress, I left the store. I am still owed $251.98 by ********. In addition to a personal resolution, I would also like to report this as potentially illegal and deceptive business practices by the local ******** store and aggressive, threatening behavior from the manager *** to a polite customer simply seeking redress for an overcharge.
