Davis Shoe Shop has had my boots for a simple repair for over a year. Every time I try to go by and pick them up, the business is closed. I am unable to retrieve my boots, and I have now gone through an entire winter season without them. I want my boots back immediately, and I do not care if the service has been completed yet. This is my personal property that is being held from me, and it is unacceptable.Initial Complaint

Mid-June 2022, dropped off a pair of Keen shoes valued at $150, requesting repair/replacement of one piece of elastic on each shoe buckle. I paid $32 and was told they would be ready on 7/27/22. I have not been able to reach anyone by phone or in person, regarding my shoes, since 7/27. The business has not been open since early July it appears. Multiple people have left handwritten notes on their business door asking about how to pick up their shoes. I called the Davis *********** inquiring about a welfare check on the owners but was told to contact the BBB for assistance.Initial Complaint

I live in *********. I drove to the Davis Shoe Shop (223 C St. Davis ** *****) on Wednesday June 1st and dropped my pair of shoes off to be repaired. I was told to pay upfront. I did. I was then told that there was a 4-5 week back log. I was then told If I paid extra they would have them ready by the following week. I paid the extra feel. The total came to $45.00. Pick-up date was scheduled for 07/06/22. I stopped by on that date to pick up my shoes. I drove back toDavis on 07/08/22. They were not open. The hours posted on Yelp, the front door on via Voicemail are all different and none of them seem to be correct. While I was waiting out front of the store multiple other people (3) stopped by to check to see if they were open. They told me they have waited over 4 weeks and have been trying to get their shoes back as well. I have left multiple voicemails. When you call the main number ************ the voicemail is along rant about God, etc. They continue to take in shoes to make money but are not actually turning the shoes around. https://www.yelp.com/biz/davis-shoe-shop-davis At this point I just want my shoes back. Both the new owner ************************* and his wife (girlfriend) who works the front desk seemed to be very out of it as well. I have two young kids and a full time job.
