I joined Keepfitdavis with my two daughters in May. I joined as a Senior Member for $55/mo, and one daughter joined as a Student Member for $55/mo. The other daughter, *****, paid for a one week membership only as she does not live in Davis.Immediately, I noticed that I had been charged for two payments - $55 and $55. I contacted the management and after many problems, they told me that they would charge my daughter for her membership instead of me. My daughter started getting a **** for $55 which she paid. Unbeknownst to me, I continued to get two bills for $55. I decided to leave the gym in September and told the management and was told I had to pay for an extra month, so in October, we told the management again via email that we were leaving. On checking my credit card, I realized that since May, the club had continued to charge me the $55 twice. I contacted the management expecting to get a refund.I was told that my daughter ***** had signed up, and the payment was for her. It was impossible for my daughter ***** to have signed up as she does not live in Davis, and she only wanted a one week membership. I have explained this several times to the management who says that I am threatening them. I have not been threatening them. In addition, the fee for my daughter, who is not a student nor a senior, would have been $60. so their comment that the membership was for ***** does not make sense. I told them I have asked my credit card company to look into this. They have double charged me for five months, and now, they will not give me the money back. They owe me $55 x 5 months = $275. I have paid faithfully for my own membership, and my daughter has paid for hers - this extra payment is completely a fault of Getfitdavis, and I cannot believe that they can be so dishonest, so I wanted to complain to the BBB. Thank you.
