1: Date of transaction (05/06/2022). 2: Amount paid ($150.00). 3: S&H Automotive was committed (Diagnostic No Start Problem Check And Found Bad Fuel Pump Level). 4: The nature of the dispute is that S&H Automotive failed to put it in writing the diagnostic test that they did not perform and said that I needed a New OE Fuel Pump,Fuel Pump Seal FS and a new Fuel level and wanted to charge me $530.60 that they with the diagnostic that they said they performed the car was only there for 45mins. To top it of the business didn't want to do anything more to resolve the issue. 5:On June 29,2022 I took the vehicle for a second opinion and *********************** performed a Multiple Point Visual Inspection and found that there was nothing wrong with what S&H Automotive Diagnostic which was performed on 05/06/2022 in fact *********************** said the vehicle would not run if the fuel pump was not working and as of 10/11/2022 I have not had any problems with the vehicle or fuel pump . 6: invoice # *****. /. Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/12/20) */ on 5/6/2022 ******* requested to replace his fuel pump because his car would not start he said he was trying to replace him self but gave up we gave him estimate for $495 and he signed agreed to repair we offered to diagnose $150 vehicle first in case there was another problem we told him we would only charge diag if it was something else, problem was fuel float reading incorrectly it was showing 1 quater gas but was empty, we added fuel and his vehicle started up ,dealer part only, could not get part till 5/10/22, so we only charged diag, explained thoroughly what we performed on his car, customer was happy that he did not have spend $495 at the time we told him he could bring another time to replace float but just keep fuel level above 1 quarter for the time being, if we wanted to take advantage of customer we could have just replaced fuel pump that he requested and charged $495 instead of $150, customer came 7weeks later rudely to complain why we charged $150 just to tell him he had no gas we explained all test performed to verify problem since gas gauge was reading it had gas. this customer even tried to to call his mothers bank and say that they had never used their atm card at our location which is a fake fraud claim and was caught lying to his bank over the phone We had proof of signed invoice and it was a debit transaction with pin used, bank told me it was a legal transaction and apologized for there customer, We billed our job correctly had a signed estimate for repairs and signed invoice showing the savings we made possible by properly diagnosing a vehicle customer was very happy that he saved money on that day and that he would be able to take his mother out for mothers day weekend we are closed on weekends and helped him last minute ( We explained that the float was not sold with fuel pump but if he desired to replace the pump when he decides to replace float there is no extra charge and is optional as preventative measure since it would be removed to replace float "optional"
