Vendor provided car loan. Vendor purposely created two different online payment systems. The main one obligates you to open a banking account with them in order to make payments, and is the only site that stores the e-statements since I opted for it. However, the vendor purposely guides the online user to an their alternative payment site if you don't have a bank account with them. But on this alternative payment site, the e-statements are not stored, and the payment due amount reflected on this system is only the monthly payment amount and nothing else. Therefore, I had been using their alternate system, logically relying on it to tell me how much I owe each month. To my surprise, now that I finish making all my 60 payments, vendor is stating that I owed them late fees and interests on these because I was making my payments late and that it is all reflected on my statements. I explained that I never used their main system because it would not let me make a payment unless I opened an account with them, and that I was relying on their alternate system to inform me, which that system never displayed any late fees, etc., only the monthly payment. Additionally, they would constantly send my annoying payment reminders and on them only the monthly payment was shown--they never made me aware that they were charging me all these extra amounts that were only reflected in the statements stored in their main system I never used because both systems are flawed. They want to charge me $1,400 extra and they will not heed my plea. And all along I thought they were a progressive company that did not charge late fees for being a couple of weeks late. What a shock! I am planning on suing.Initial Complaint

Southland Credit Union has been my family's choice for banking for several years now. Until recently, we were pleased to do business with them. However, we have been charged $1,131 in fees just this year alone, most of which took place in the last few months. Some were charged during an instance of fraud on my account. I have asked that my account be setup in a way that prevents me from being billed these fees. Southland is engaging in unlawful business practices if they can penalize a customer for a service that the customer never agreed to pay for. Please help me find a resolution.Initial Complaint

My dad is financing a car for me via Southland Credit Union which I am paying for myself. Currently the car is not in my possession but I am still making payments as I should be getting it back soon and will continue to do so as I am keeping the vehicle. My payment is due today on the 20th and I tried to make my payment on the 16th. The representative at Southland told me that they will be attempting to get a hold of the car themselves and will be taking it away from me but I will still have to pay the remaining for the loan which is $22,000+ I spoke with my lawyer and he said they cannot do that as I have never missed a payment, Ive never been late and I have the rights to this car as we are the ones financing it and it is under our name. I contacting the BBB by his advice in hopes that I can be helped with this. As of today I am now officially late to make my payment because they would not take it, and I am sure I will be penalized for that as well. Please help as I cannot lose my car and continue to pay for it for the next 4 years
