SO we were in contact with the location in Azusa, and the salesman, Jason, was very shady. He told us we had to purchase VinEtch and other things or they wouldn't sell us the car. It's not legal to advertise prices online and then charge a customer a different price, especially for complete junk items. CA AG has been notified. So my Son lives in LA, and he's who the car was for, but since he has no job, we went through our local Credit Union and put his Mom on loan. Here is where the problem started the dealership didn't want to allow simple title paperwork to be mailed to TX for signatures they first stated; it was California law which, to my surprise, doesn't exist, and we talked with Sam, who said he was the manager, and I explained how if we were doing financing with them in CA I could understand the need to have both parties present or they would be violating a dealer agreement with the bank. They then changed their tune and said it was company policy, but they would accept that if we got a POA for his sister. Then the pitch I had been waiting for was we think we can get him financed by himself, which would fix the issue, and we declined. So after a day and getting our legal counsel to draft up a simple POA, the dealership changed its tune and said they wouldn't accept that either now. They wanted us to finance with them so they could make more profit which is understandable, but even after we told them he doesn't have a job, they were willing to commit fraud and lie to a bank to get him approved and say he had a job or make fraudulent paystubs. When I tried to reach the owner, they declined to connect me with anyone besides Sam, who sounded no older than 25. Very disappointed in how they do business, and after seeing the D- rating on the. BBB, it doesn't surprise me at all. Total scam, and to top it off, the vehicle they tried to pass *** as having no frame damage had frame damage.
