I purchased a chain that is stamped and described in all related paperwork as a 14k gold chain. After an issue with the chain leaving stains on a shirt, we had the chain tested. It is only 10k, not 14k as it was sold. The company refuses to do anything about it because it been more than a year, it's been about 18 mos. Time does not change the fact that they sold us fraudulent jewelry. The chain is financed and still being paid for. We just want what we are paying for.Business response

We are a family owned company and we have a long history of loyal customers and quality made merchandise. We have never encountered any issues with our items not being what was sold on the invoice.
Unfortunately, due to the extended time from when your purchase was made, we have no way of validating proof of this claim. I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you.
Thank you.Customer response

This is the same response that the customer service department sent me in my initial complaint direct to the company. The time should have nothing to do with this complaint. We did not have any reason to believe there was anything wrong with it, and therefore no reason until now to test it. The chain was as only 10k the day it was sold, same as it is today. Somewhere along the line of production and transfer of ownership prior to myself fraud was committed. It should not be the customer who gets screwed in the end. All we want is what we paid for, and this is not it. If nothing else I at least want to get the word out to as many people as possible. No one else should be taken advantage of!Business response

We apologize if you feel this way. Unfortunately, we have no way of validating proof of this claim after 18 mos. Kevin Jewelers did not commit any fraud.
