We purchased a Subaru in May of 2023. This dealership has yet to send the title documents to our local ********** of ***** Vehicles so we can register the car in our name. We have called for months. We have taken mornings off work to stand in line at the *** to see what can be done. We have paid for 2 temporary registrations so we can drive legally. We have spoken to the manager named ******, a manager named ***** and the title clerk named *******. They have said they will call us back and usually don't. We haven't been able to leave a message for ******* because her voice-mail box has been full for months. She has not called us back when messages have been taken for her by others. ***** called us back once two weeks ago, said it was taken care of and that was a lie. It has not been taken care of at all. The ********** *** has instructed to make a legal complaint with ********* PD and **********. So that's our next step but we are pretty powerless in this situation. This dealership has major internal communication problems and little to no respect for its clients. This dealership needs to complete our transaction with them.Initial Complaint

September 22 we test drove 2 cars. We were interested in one so we sat down and went over prices. The cost after the sticker price was $9,000 higher so we declined to buy the car. We did not give them permission to run my credit to find a loan. I now have two hard credit inquiries because of them.Initial Complaint

Purchased a vehicle from this dealership, they never provided a title to the vehicle. After several calls to the dealership I was told a duplicate title was requested, however I have yet to see this title. Was told the ************************ was six months behind. Now six months later and they are refusing to ************* nor give me an update. If they can not get a title then I am arbitrating the deal. I just wanted my titleInitial Complaint

Jan 27 2023 I traded in a 2019 Subaru Impreza for a 2022 Subaru WRX at El Cajon Subaru. Deal #******. The selling price was ******. The pay-off per contract was ******. As of March 1st, the car still was not paid off. I called the dealership on 2/8/23, and was told the pay-off check had been mailed on 2/7/23. I called again on 2/27/23, and was told the check had been mailed on 2/26/23, at which time I was given a Fed-Ex tracking number of #**************. When I went online to check that tracking number, the Fed-Ex website had no record of that number.(At the time of purchase of my new car, I also put $1000 dollars down for the new car payment) I was told by the dealership that any payment I made on the "old" car before pay-off would be reimbursed. On 2/7/23, and 3/2/23 I paid payments of ****** for the 2019 subaru impreza. On 3/2/23, the account noted a pay-off received for $******(the pay-off amount through 3/3/23 was $17,193.90 per Chase) Today, 3/8/23 the website states my car payment is past due, and I owe $17,183.73. Chase Auto reversed the payment I made on 3/2/23, according to them the account for the 2019 car was closed on that date. Chase Auto when I called to inquire stated the car dealership (Subaru of El Cajon) had put a stop payment on the pay-off check. So, I have paid $1,000 for new car down payment, $1024.08 for 2 payments for car I traded in to protect my credit, and as of 3/8/23 I am still on the hook financially for two cars, and the dealership has not paid the trade-in amount agreed to in our contract of 1/27/23 for the amount of $******.Initial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on 9/11/22. After the first big rain in December I found a safety issue with the windshield not being sealed properly. I reached out to the dealership on 1/1/2023. I went back and forth for months with a manager there *** and he finally stated that someone would be coming to look and take care of my issue. ********* longer works there so I was put in contact with a new manager ****. I have called and emailed several times with no responses and no calls back. This is a safety issue and I need the dealership to work with me or at least respond. My vehicle order is under my full name ***********************.Initial Complaint

I received a deceiteful ad from Subaru of El Cajon. The Ad states "Major Trade-in 100 percent Trade In Reimbursement"Any Subaru Customer trading in a ******************************** model on a like or upgraded new subaru will receive 100% of the Factory's Full base model MSRP when new!"When I went to the dealership itself I found out that the guy on the phone didn't even work there. The sales representative helping us informed us that it was an internet ad that he barely heard about. After inquiring about it from his manager he informed me that the stipulation is that they subtract $.39 for every mile driven on the car. Which if you have more than 10k on your car becomes a joke. He then gave me the actual trade in value of my car. This is false advertising at worst, a bait and switch scheme at best, make an outlandish offer to get you in the door but this is at the expense of me and my wife's precious time off from work. For a company whose values are based on "Love" it sure sounds like they only care about money and not at all about deceiving their loycal customers.Initial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle on December 16, 2022. The dealership agreed (signed contract) to offer me $20,000.00 for my trade-in and pay off my loan in the amount of $9,525.00. My loan company for the trade-in called me today. Subaru of El Cajon is 33 days LATE on the payment and I just received a negative "late notice" on my credit report. Why? Because THIS DEALERSHIP HAS NOT PAID MY LOAN OFF even though it was a part of our contract. I've left messages and tried calling every contact I have at the dealership, no one will call me back. I did a quick ****** review search and found that (2) other people have had the same experience in the last month with this dealership. This is a pattern of fraud at this point and needs to be investigated.Initial Complaint

On 12/12/22, I sold my 2020 Subaru Forester to Subaru of El Cajon for $26,500. I owed $20,200. As a result, they owed me the difference. I understood I would have my check within a few days. Now it has been close to 3 weeks and I have still not been compensated. I called the General Manager around 12/23 to get an update. He engaged the Sales Manager who assisted me, who called me the same day and stated that he would have an answer for me by noon that day. He never called back. I have since called and left messages for *** (the sales manager) with no returned call. I also can no longer get ahold of the General Manager. Please help me resolve this issue. They have since sold the vehicle I sold them and I still have not been paid. ThanksBusiness response
