      Electric roller shades not working. Contacted the company many months ago without resolution. I just need them to fix the shades or replace them if needed. These are hardwired, motorized window shades.

      Hello *****,

      I understand your complaint and we offered solutions that could not meet your expectations (which was to fix the shade on such a date). Upon which time I provided another solution with a different repairman/installer. This option was taken by you and I took it upon myself to follow up with him to make sure that you were taken care of. Please let me know if this complaint can be dropped. Thank you

      On February 28,2022 I called Family Carpet and Drapes at ***************************************, in ******************)I told them I had tenants in one of our rental houses. They had a toilet that had overflowed and flooded the hallway. I told them that it is now dry, and we need to re-install it now as the tenants are tired of living with the mess. The clerk, ********************* me on hold and came back and told me that I would have to pay $200. up front before they would send a man out. The install man came out in a few days. I am told by the tenant that he only spent a very few minutes there and said that the job was NOT REPAIRABLE. I did not hear anything back from the company, so I called them. ******** told me that the carpet man wanted to sell me new carpeting to do the job. I told ******** that I had a large piece of the original carpeting left over from when they had installed the whole house of the carpeting, and I wanted to use it so it would match completely. I never herd back from them again. I finally called again and was told that they could not come out for A MONTH to do the job. They knew how important this was to fix what needed to be done. Finally, I had to call another carpet company who came out in 2 days and did the job beautifully. It was a perfect job. When I called ********, she said that they would give me a refund of the $200. if I wanted it. I said " Fine, do that". After that I never heard from them again. I called numerous times asking for the refund. She said to watch the mail, it should be coming. IT HAS NOW BEEN 2 MONTHS! iT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF RETURNING MY $200,. I feel they have lied to me. I feel it is unethical to require that I pay for the job before they would do the job. I have dealt with this company successfully for many years. After the father retired. it is not good! I do not have the knowledge to send you my receipt for payment of the $200. and many other copies of proof. I do have them.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

      TRIED TO CLOSE THIS COMPLAINT THE SAME DAY THAT I WROTE IT.  THE COMPANY HAS PAID ME WHAT WAS OWED ME!  ALL IS WELL AND THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED BY NOW.
