I brought the vehicle in on 5/29/2023. THis was a holiday and they were closed. I had spoken to ********************* to this and told him what work needed to be done. I also filled out the key envelope with instructions on repairs needed for work to begin the following morning The following morning around 9am I Received a call from ***** asking for authorization to approve charges of ******. This seemed a reasonable amount for the work requested.***** called later in the day and said the car was Ready to pick up.This is my wife's car so she paid the bill by credit card and showed me the bill later when we got home. When I went in to question ***** about the bill and additional work done, he said I had authorized it and showed me a time stamp noted on his copy, when he called and authorization for additional work.I claim I only authorized work that we spoke about prior and what was filled out on the key envelope which they still have. The amount overcharged for parts and labor (2 lower control arms) amount to $1,333.00.I have included pictures of the invoice and pictures of the work authorized to be done.I was also told by an associate at the timethat they would only replace these paticular parts if they begin to make noise,Which they were not.

      Business response

Customer dropped off car on 5/23/2023 with night drop . envelope was signed for inspection of front shocks , rear brakes, and bushings. After inspecting car, called customer and sold front shocks, control arms with bushing, alignment and rear brakes as noted on final invoice for the sum of $2579.02. His wife and him picked up car at 3:48pm and went over bill without any issues. Customer came back on Monday June 5th and  said he did not authorize the amount for all repairs and accused me of lying. He stated he only authorized $585.00. I fail to see how this is correct when he knows what car dealer estimate (attached by him) was for and he had no question at time of payment?

      Customer response

      06/18/2023

I am rejecting this respone because:

I brought my wife's car into Neillo Accura in ********* on 5/26 for a GPS issue that only the dealer could address.During this visit we had a complete car inspection done at the cost of $195.00. The pictures you see are from that inspection. The part in question is the torn bushing.

We opted to bring the car into Big O Tires 4 days later  strictly because of convenience.

The key envelope that I filled out and which they still have, requests 3 items on the Niello Accura repair order.

The one I am addressing is the replacement of a torn bushing, a $32.00 part, which I believe  is what I authorized.

If what ***** says is correct about the authorization, that would have sent up a red flag immediately  and I would have questioned it then.

As far as picking up the car, my wife paid by credit card, and did not know of any discussions ***** and I had prior about work to be done and cost.

Upon returning home, she questioned  me about the cost of repairs and why it was so much.

When I returned to the shop to question ***** about the control arms that were replaced and the authorizing of the final cost,   he clearly became agitated and it was he who said "are you calling me a liar"

I never once uttered those words and never would.

In speaking with an associate  of *****, I was told the only time they will replace a control arm is if it is rattling and making noises. That was not the case here.

My contention is I did not request those parts, I certainly did not authorize them and thirdly the car did not need them if you go by the ************ repair order.

      Thank you,

      *****

I am sorry we are  at this point. Why did it take so long to respond ti us about this. The parts were bad. The customer approved the repairs. We did the repairs. i am sorry he disagrees.
