I am disputing the $130.00 collection on my credit. Kindly see attached letter I file and sent to the Department of Structural Pest Control Board dated 12/01/2021. I spoke to them this morning as well and they indicated, The Board reached out to the pest company, however, Stanley Pest control did NOT respond to the board's request or return their call (You can verify this with the Board). I have also contacted an attorney at Parker Stanbury this morning to take an action against the pest company and the collection company. As you can see on the contract agreement, the pest company representative agreed to three treatments, but at the end of the 3rd treatment they decided to force me to go on with the next three treatments so that they could charge me for additional treatments. When I refused to agree to this, they forwarded me to their collection and subsequently the $130.00 went on my credit report as I have disputed this with the credit bureau. I am also forwarding the same documents to them.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/07) */ To whom it may concern: Mr. ****** requested we service his property on July of 2019. He subsequently requested we perform another 3 services in September of 2019 spread out over 6 months. He refused the third service in January and received the remaining 2 services in March and May of 2020. He had paid for 2 of the services and did not pay for the other 2. We attempted to contact him several times regarding the outstanding balance by phone and US mail, he never responded to us. At that time his balance was $130. Our procedure was to refer his account to the collection agency. I was contacted by the Department of Consumer Affairs; Structural Pest Control Board at the end of February 2022 regarding Mr. ******. During my meeting with the SPCB we had decided that all would be served best to write-off the $130.00. We contacted the collection agency and had the charge removed siting erroneous charges. Mr. ****** had agreed to drop the complaint with BBB when the collections account was removed from his credit report. Consumer Response /* (2000, 10, 2022/04/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The issue was resolved but it took months and an attorney letter sent to the collection to take the unlawful and unjustified money they wanted out of my credit report. If this was done to me, be sure this is done to many others who don't know what to do and consumers would just opt to pay the company. The fee they wanted to collect is not much and I could just pay it, but I knew this was wrong and I decided to contest their claim. The company lies and deceives people with no remorse of the consequences it may cause to the individuals. Please monitor this company as best as possible. Thank you.
